Murder One

Ashley Fallis ColoradoColorado law enforcement officials have solved the alleged suicide of Ashley Farris. Farris was found with a gunshot wound in the back of the head inside her residence, and her husband – a corrections officer – claimed Ashley killed herself.

Three years later, the case has been ruled a homicide. You’ll never guess who was charged.

A former Colorado jail officer has been arrested and charged with murdering his wife, three years after local detectives allegedly covered up evidence of his crime and ruled her death a suicide – even though she was shot in the back of the head.

Ashley Fallis’ family never believed the 28-year-old mother of three had killed herself and they campaigned for three years for police in Evans, Colorado, to reopen the case and investigate whether her husband, Tom Fallis, was responsible for the New Years Day 2012 shooting.

Tom Fallis, 34, was arrested today in Bloomington, Indiana, where he had been living with the couple’s three young children after fleeing Colorado. (H/TMike)

I always cringe when I see stories about law enforcement personnel going to prison, primarily because it is usually a death sentence. In this case, I’ll make an exception.

  1. When I first heard this story about Fallis, I had to look up from my keyboard to make sure it wasn’t spelled with a “Ph”. Apparently, every bad joke he endured in grade school and high school was true. He’s a d*ck. I’m with you on your exception.

Not necessarily. They’ll probably put him in the protective custody unit with the child molesters and snitches. Of course, being surrounded by people like that for the rest of your life might be a fate worse than death.

  3. I hope those that tried to cover it up have some legal trouble as well. What an a$$hole, not only did he murder his wife but also left his children orphans. I hope her family is able to raise them and that they don’t end up in “the system”
