Mikey At The Bat

Michael HirshMeet Politico editor Michael Hirsh.

Michael is your typical liberal journalist – yes, I realize that is an oxymoron – and like most journalists, Michael believes differing opinions need to be silenced. However, unlike other liberals, Michael believes some opinions need to be silenced with Louisville Sluggers.

National editor at Politico Michael Hirsh resigned after publishing the home addresses of alt-right figurehead Richard Spencer Tuesday morning and advocating for serious violence. Politico confirmed his resignation.

“Stop whining about Richard B. Spencer, Nazi, and exercise your rights as decent Americans,” Hirsh wrote in a public Facebook post. “Here are his two addresses.”

“I wasn’t thinking of a fucking letter, Doug. He lives part of the time next door to me in Arlington. Our grandfathers brought baseball bats to Bund meetings. Want to join me?”

For the record, I believe Richard Spencer is a hateful douche canoe. That said, in America, you have the God-given right to be a douche canoe, or in this case, a douche ocean liner. Hirsh was completely out of line, and his resignation turns my frown upside down.

I also think it is high-larious that every liberal internet tough guy looks like a mealymouthed weasel who needs help carrying groceries to his Prius.

  1. Politically motivated violence comes from the left wing 99.9 percent of the time. Anyone remember the ELF arson attacks?

Nowadays the acts of rioting and violence are too many to list and yet the clarion call of the MSM is that those right wing tea partiers are the violent ones. And they wonder why people don’t trust them anymore.
