WNBA: The “A” Stands For Activism

Candice Wiggins is a recently-retired WNBA basketball star who claims she was bullied for, get this, being straight. Wiggins claims it contributed to her early retirement.

Candice Wiggins was a college star at Stanford, the third pick of the 2008 WNBA draft and a 2011 champion. And at the mountaintop of her basketball career, her sexuality marred the moment.

There is a “very, very harmful” culture running throughout the WNBA, she says, which saw her get bullied during her eight-year career because she is heterosexual.

The 30-year-old couldn’t take it anymore — being harassed for being straight and fighting for attention in a league that is starved.

Welcome to 21st Century America, where you will be forced to care about fringe issues and/or lifestyles, or your career will be destroyed. The WNBA has enough trouble drawing in fans, and when you ostracize straight players, you also ostracize straight fans.

You know, I have no problem with the LBGT community, but I have a major problem with the members of the Gay Mafia. They’re no better than Black Lives Matter or the Occupy crowd.

  1. Agreed. So many on the left are bullies. It truly has become their way or the highway but first they leave you with a black eye or two to make certain you know your way is wrong.

    1. Is your proposal actually possible in the WNBA? Just wonderin’…
FYI I did a Google image search on her name. You could probably add her to your Sunday services.

The left, giving a bad name to people who breathe.
