A Pineapple You Don’t Want On A Pizza

wwii-grenades-in-nursing-home-fridgeI believe Jerry Seinfeld once said, “If you make it to your 90th birthday, you should be able to do what you want. If you want to drive 90 mph, drive 90.”

I’m paraphrasing here, but the point he was trying to make was once you reach a certain age, you 1. don’t give a frak anymore, so 2. you should be able to do whatever you damn well please.

You know, like keeping explosive devices in your refrigerator.

Two World War II era grenades were found in a 91-year-old man’s refrigerator Friday at a New York nursing home.

A report of explosive devices at the Tappan Zee Manor Nursing Home led to an evacuation shortly before 3 p.m. while police conducted “an extensive search” of the building and the 91-year-old man’s car.

Clarkstown police said no other devices were found during the search, and the two grenades — a training hand grenade and a metal hand grenade — were removed by the bomb squad, who will X-ray the devices to see if they’re live.

The cops will never be able to pin the possession on the man; which is a good thing, since he seems like he’s a blast to be around.
