So Much For That “Privilege”

A middle school in Los Angeles is facing budget cuts because, get this, there are too many white kids enrolled at the school. To quote John McClane, “F**king California.”

Outrage has grown at Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, as the school faces layoffs and increased class sizes due to a law limiting funds for schools with a higher white student body.

The Los Angeles Unified School District provides more funding for schools where the white population is below 30 percent.

In a letter to parents, the district noted the highly regarded middle school had been above the percentage for the past couple years. The racial formula was a condition imposed by court decisions dealing with desegregation in the 1970s.

Is every American public school system certifiably insane? Naturally, most people in Los Angeles will blame the white students for this nonsense, instead of the idiotic school district.

  1. Cathy – Especially with Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education.

Metoo – It is absolutely racist, but school administrators are almost always leftists, so no one bats an eye.

  2. During the 60’s when the Civil Rights fight came to a head, laws like this were implemented. At some point it was decided that racism could be fought by just changing the flavor of the racism and piling more on … quotas, etc. This is a full 180 degree reversal from the beliefs of people like:

    MLK, Jr
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”)

    Frederick Douglass
“In regard to the colored people, there is always more that is benevolent, I perceive, than just, manifested towards us. What I ask for the negro is not benevolence, not pity, not sympathy, but simply justice. The American people have always been anxious to know what they shall do with us… I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us. Do nothing with us! If the apples will not remain on the tree of their own strength, if they are worm-eaten at the core, if they are early ripe and disposed to fall, let them fall! … And if the negro cannot stand on his own legs, let him fall also. All I ask is, give him a chance to stand on his own legs! Let him alone! If you see him on his way to school, let him alone, don’t disturb him! If you see him going to the dinner table at a hotel, let him go! If you see him going to the ballot box, let him alone, don’t disturb him! If you see him going into a work-shop, just let him alone, — your interference is doing him positive injury.”
