When Keepin’ It Real Goes Wrong

If you ask me which I prefer – day work or night work – I would enthusiastically choose the latter. I am not a morning person, so waking up at 0530 sucks ass. That said, night work in my division is crazy stupid busy. To wit:

About 5 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a person in a silver van aiming a weapon out of a window on North 16th Street, near Indiana Avenue. After pulling the van over, they found Kyree Saunders in the driver’s seat wearing a black hoodie and a black bandanna over his face.

Next to the driver’s seat was a loaded Eagle Arms Eagle-15 rifle, along with a second loaded magazine. Saunders told police he was making a rap video.

Saunders, of the 6600 block of North 5th Street in the city’s Oak Lane section, has been charged with carrying a firearm without a license and unlawfully carrying a firearm in public. Bail was set at $25,000 during his arraignment Wednesday.

We were told Saunders is a fireman in Cheltenham Township, just outside the city limits. Ironically, this genius was arrested after a Philadelphia firefighter witnessed him pointing the rifle out the window.

  1. In Philly, an there is an aspiring rapper,
    Who considers himself quite dapper.
    But he flashed a gun,
    And claimed, “Twas in fun!”
So now in jail, he shares a crapper.
