Sunday Services

Longtime reader, commenter, and personal fried Metoo will be celebrating her birthday on Thursday, August 3rd. Since today’s post it for the ladies, I wanted to combine the services with Metoo’s special day. Since Metoo sent me a wish list, let’s begin.

First up is Remington Steele – wow, that takes me back – and James Bond star Pierce Brosnan.

Pierce Brendan Brosnan, OBE (born 16 May 1953) is an Irish actor, film producer, and activist who after leaving comprehensive school at age 16, began training in commercial illustration. He then went on to train at the Drama Centre in London for three years. Following a stage acting career he rose to popularity in the television series Remington Steele (1982–87), which blended the genres of romantic comedy, drama, and detective procedural.

Brosnan debuted as Bond in Goldeneye, one of the greatest Bond films ever, in my humble opinion.

There is more below the fold…

Next up is the star of Old School and Wedding Crashers, Vince Vaughn.

Vincent Anthony Vaughn (born March 28, 1970) is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, activist, and comedian.

Vaughn began acting in the late 1980s, appearing in minor television roles before attaining wider recognition with the 1996 comedy-drama film Swingers. He has appeared in a number of films in the 1990s, including the sports film Rudy (1993), the sci-fi adventure dinosaur film The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), and the drama-thriller Return to Paradise (1998).

Vaughn has conservative leanings, which is pretty much the best we can hope for out of Hollywood.

Law & Order: SVU’s Christopher Meloni rounds out Metoo’s wish list.

Christopher Peter Meloni (born April 2, 1961)[1][2] is an American actor. He is known for his television roles as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on the NBC police drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and as inmate Chris Keller on the HBO prison drama Oz. In June 2012, he returned to HBO, as the vampire Roman on the main cast of True Blood for the series’ fifth season.

His films include Man of Steel, Wet Hot American Summer, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, 12 Monkeys, Runaway Bride, 42, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

The services have ended, you may now go in peace. Happy early birthday, Metoo!
