Sunday Services

Today’s end-of-year Sunday Services focus upon a friend from across the pond: actor James McAvoy.

James McAvoy (born 21 April 1979) is a Scottish actor. He made his acting debut as a teen in The Near Room (1995) and continued to make mostly television appearances until 2003, when his feature film career began. He continued to work in both areas from then on. His notable television work includes the drama show State of Play and the science fiction show Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune.

Besides screen acting, McAvoy has performed in several West End productions and received three nominations for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor. He has also done voice work for animated films including Gnomeo & Juliet and Arthur Christmas (both 2011).

There are more photos below the fold…

McAvoy is a very good Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films. I haven’t seen him in anything else.

James does rock the beard, though. It makes him look like 35 instead of 22.

The services have ended; you may now go in peace. And as an aside, it’s New Year’s Eve, and the idiots will be on the roads tonight – likely drunk. If you have to drive, stay aware of your surroundings. If you’re drinking, grab a designated driver. I need all the readers I can muster.
