Live By The Judge, Die By The Judge

Nancy Pelosi and her fellow leftists were dealt a severe blow yesterday after a U.S. District judge dismissed their attempt to block reallocated funding for the border wall.

U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden said the House of Representatives does not have standing to bring the challenge, calling it a political fight between two branches.

“While the Constitution bestows upon members of the House many powers, it does not grant them standing to hale the executive branch into court claiming a dilution of Congress’s legislative authority,” McFadden’s decision reads.

Though courts have allowed legislatures to bring cases alleging an institutional injury before, McFadden said those few instances involved episodes in which legislative power was effectively nullified. The judge said precedent, historical practice, and current conditions show Congress has many tools to block whatever steps the administration takes to reprogram money for the border wall.

The irony here is the Democrats have used judges to effect electoral change for decades. They cannot win at the ballot box on issues – obviously – so they force judges to succumb to their will. I don’t suspect this constitutional decision will turn the tide against Pelosi and her ilk, but it’s a good start.

  1. One more reason Trump needs another 4 years. He has already appointed quite a few judges to the lower courts along with the two supreme court justices. Things need to keep moving to the right in this country especially with the left so enamored with socialism. Idiots!

  2. Ronni – Some believe he will flip the Ninth Circuit to conservative by the end of the year. That, in itself, is why the president needs to be reelected.

  3. Congress has done nothing since Trump was elected. All you hear from them is “Impeach”. I asked my libtard sister this same question and all she can say is Trump is ruining this country. Give her a list of good he has done and get the same reply. Then she gets missed when I laugh at her.

  4. Cathy, I know it’s a sister, but my wife has one of those too. I keep asking my wife why she even communicates with her libtard sister and I get the same reply, “It’s my sister” every time. I’m to the point I don’t get why blood has anything to do with associating with somebody who publicly calls everyone who voted for Trump a Nazi, and constantly sends all this leftist drivel through email. Lucky for both my wife and I, her sister hates me with the firy passion of a thousand suns, so I don’t think she will be visiting any time soon. I hope your crazy sister isn’t THAT bad. I have three grown sons and no daughters, so I don’t know much about the “sister” connections, but I was very proud of all three of my sons when they informed me that their aunt had unfriended each one of them on fakebook. I knew I had raised them well just seeing that happen.

Oh, and I plan to vote for Trump again, even if it’s revealed he was an axe murderer at one point in his life. I like results and he’s the only person I ever voted for who actually gets results.

    1. For the most part, conservatives never do that. They rarely cut off relations – family, friends, etc. – because of politics. Leftists, on the other hand, have no problem severing ties with people who embrace a different political ideology.
