If You Build It, They Won’t Come

Believe it or not, there is some good news coming out of the Wuhan Virus pandemic. While the rest of the country is shutting down, the construction of the southern border wall continues.

The federal government has constructed more than 40 miles of wall along the southern border with Mexico since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States.

More than half of the additional wall and fencing have been constructed since early February. The first confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus was reported on Jan. 20.

“Today is not the time to play politics with the lives of U.S. Citizens,” Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, told the newspaper. “Walls have proven to stop illegal entries into the United States, therefore they are an essential law enforcement resource which will undoubtedly help in reducing the spread of COVID-19.”

Federal immigration authorities said they have completed 142 miles of new wall with more than 400 still in the preconstruction phase, and it is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

So, while the Democrats are preoccupied with Orange Man Bad, the Trump administration is walling us off from Mexico.

  1. Or, as per the Mexican gov’t, walling us off from them.
    Works either way for me.
It would/will be funny when Trump makes that very point.

  2. Been a long time coming but glad to know it is being built….finally. And the dems don’t dare gripe about it with the virus in full swing.

  3. In the long run, Mexico will be paying for the wall by missing the money their citizens have been sending back home. If we could just get businesses to stop hiring illegals, and democrats to stop giving them free stuff, maybe the illegals would self-deport.
