Wow, What A Shock

You may find this difficult to believe, but Communist New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s liquidation of the NYPD’s Anti-Crime Unit by is already showing dividends!

New York City appears to have experienced a surge in shootings after the New York Police Department announced that it was eliminating its plainclothes anti-crime unit.

The New York Post reported that since Monday, there have been 28 incidents and 38 victims reported, compared to a total of 12 shootings for the entire week at the same time last year. The Post added, “There have been 97 shootings this month so far, compared to 89 for the whole month of June last year.”

“This is what the politicians wanted — no bail, nobody in Rikers, cops not arresting anyone,” a law enforcement official told The Post. “All those things equal people walking around on the street with guns, shooting each other.”

Interesting. It’s almost as if the mayor favors criminals over cops, but that can’t be right!

“So, this is a permanent change,” de Blasio continued. “The personnel will be using new and different ways to fight crime more effectively and in a way that creates a better relationship with the community, and that’s the way forward for this city and for the NYPD.”

Is this the same community who shot two NYPD officers, stabbed another, and assaulted a fourth with a brick during the Floyd riots? That community?? I’m fairly confident the mayor’s “new and different ways” of fighting crime include – but are not limited to – ignoring looting, driving away from gunshots, and disarming the police so they can more easily be attacked.

The city of New York is finished.

  1. I’m heading to a gun show in Ft. Worth this weekend. Gotta stock up on toys and ammo. In some of the calibers I have, I’m down to less than a thousand rounds. That’s downright un-American!

  2. TX Nick – The city supplies my ammunition for my Glock, but I’m short of .45 and .38 rounds.

RG – Especially with the zombie, er, Democrat apocalypse.

  3. I think they should wall in the city, like in the movie ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, and keep everyone inside. They should wall in CHAZ, too.

  4. I read that people were setting off fireworks in front of Gracie Manor & chanting “we can’t sleep, you can’t sleep” of course, mayor DeBlahBlah called the police to remove the the demonstrators.

  5. Ronni – I cannot believe they voted for Cuomo three times. How does that happen?

Kitty – Arguably my favorite movie ever. I have the movie poster framed in my basement.

MelP – Shame actual citizens can’t do that because de Blasio wants to defund them.

    1. To be honest, the same reason California keeps voting for Dem overlords: LA has over 10 million people & the bay area & Sacramento are also pretty large. Their votes overwhelm the rest of the state.

    2. Wyatt, I have the poster for DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN on the wall in my basement. It’s kind of embarrassing now, but at least it’s something to look at while I’m doing laundry. And the movie is in New York.
