Seattle Reaps The Whirlwind

Congratulations, Seattle. In a matter of sixteen days, you have alienated your citizens, neutered your police department, and forced a billion-dollar business to uproot and flee to Arizona. Well done!

A Seattle-based investment firm announced Monday that it will leave the city because of civil unrest and move south, taking billions with it.

Smead Capital Management President and CEO Cole Smead, told KSTAR NEWS, that “the unrest that has taken place in the city of Seattle… there really is not a downtown community today.”

Office buildings in the downtown are emptying out, according to Smead. “We’re hearing rumors of 40-story buildings that will be only 20-percent occupied by October,” he said.

I sincerely doubt Smead Capital will be the only business fleeing this lawless city in the next few weeks. The dominoes are beginning to fall, and Seattle’s economy is falling with it. That’s a shame.

    1. I moved to AZ to and now might have to leave.
I’m wondering if Utah, what with all the God-botherers, will be too unpalatable to lefties or if I’m gonna have the bite the bullet and move somewhere with winter.
Montana is looking like my best bet.
      I hate snow.

      1. I was looking around Buffalo or Sheridan, Wyoming. Or a bit east around Deadwood or Rapid City, SD.

Most of Wyoming doesn’t appeal to me, but those two cities are very nice. The Black Hills is pretty nice too, but there is still winter around both. I don’t think the winter is really severe though.

Have a friend in Bozeman and he told me about some recent BLM protests there. Bozeman? I had no idea anyone there was liberal, but it’s a beautiful area. Their winters are pretty cold.

I have gotten the impression that Arizona is about to fall to the left. I haven’t figure out why, other than lots of Californians bringing their bad voting habits with them

  1. TX Nick – They won’t, though, because the Seattle Democrats weren’t REAL Democrats. They’ll swarm the country like locusts and turn every city and town into a bankrupt cesspool.

Cathy – Or better yet, stay in Seattle in the city you people made. Enjoy the CHAZ and leave the rest of us alone.

    1. My son who lives just east of Seattle has told me multiple times, Seattle is a two party city. One party are the socialist Democrats and the other are the avowed and registered Communists. He has told me that the current mayor has pissed enough people off that she will be deposed and replaced by a hard core communist. That’s a nice thought.
