Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has had enough of the Chinese Wuhan Virus, stating he will never implement another lockdown.
In the spring, Governor DeSantis issued a stay-at-home order which asked Floridians to limit their movement, unless they needed to go to work at an essential business or make a trip to the grocery store or pharmacy. Many shops, boutiques, and hair and nail salons shut down, and restaurants were only allowed to serve take-out. Through planned phases, the state’s economy has gradually been able to ramp back up.
DeSantis seems like a straight shooter, but far too many of these politicians were too worried about what the media would say instead of following common sense precautions.
Governor DeSantis did not confirm when the state would be reopening the bars and nightclubs, or under what conditions, just that his team will “address it and move with it.”
“We will never do any of these lockdowns again,” the governor said. He brought up Peru, claiming the country has been in lockdown with military enforcement since March, adding how its has the highest per capita COVID-19 fatality rate in the world.
Therein lies the problem. The Chinese Wuhan Virus was unpredictable, but eventually even morons like myself knew most Americans were not going to die from it. Protect the elderly and those with comorbidities, and the spread will minimize.
It’s just a shame it took DeSantis so long to realize it.
But of course our !@#$% governor has extended his emergency powers………..

Our idiot gov decided in august masks were mandatory. Didn’t catch the virus in march or april. Now it’s dangerous without a mask?

Tan – Of course. Our governor is equally terrible. He put pressure on the cities to eliminate all fall sports, and has already said no contact high school sports will be allowed this year. That means Erik will miss another season of lacrosse. I hate these people and their agendas.
Cathy – I saw some jackass on CNN claiming face shields should be mandatory now too. F. That.

I’m hoping Alan West runs for governor in Texas. If a real conservative runs in the primary, I will vote for him and against Greg Abbott. I am sick of all this nonsense about masks. To wit: I met my brother & sister at Scotties Bar and Grill last week. We had to be wearing a mask (or a bandana) to be allowed inside. Once seated, we could take them off. We had to put them back on to use the toilet. We paid in cash.
That is really a smart virus. It knows when you are seated at a restaurant. And it doesn’t contaminate ATM cards or cash.

TX Nick – Also knows when a Democrat gets her hair done in a San Francisco boutique, then erases the memory of an elderly scold afterward.
And I’m a big fan of Alan West. He’d have my vote.
