Trust Your U.S. Attorneys

After five-plus years of corruption, mismanagement, and outright criminal acts by our betters in Washington, D.C., I assume everyone here knows to never trust federal law enforcement. Of course, the feds continue to show their incompetence on a daily basis, including this U.S. Attorney’s walk-back of his theory that Trump supporters tried to kidnap and kill members of Congress on January 6th.

The acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Michael Sherwin announced on Friday that there is no “direct evidence” indicating that the crowd of people who breached the Capitol on Jan. 6 had any intention of killing or kidnapping members of Congress.

He told reporters, “We don’t have any direct evidence of kill-capture teams,” which seemed to contradict federal prosecutors in Arizona who had alleged on Thursday in a court filing that there was evidence rioters wanted “to capture and assassinate elected officials.”

Like the Chinese Wuhan Virus lockdowns, the “safe and secure election” of Joe Biden, and countless other tales the government spins, this fable was worthy of Aesop. It was all a ruse to slander President Trump and his supporters.

Reuters reported that Sherwin was attempting to “walk back” the claims filed in Arizona, which were about Jacob Chansey, the so-called “Qanon shaman” who was shirtless and wearing horns in the Senate chamber. He allegedly left a note saying, “it’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.”

Sherwin said that his office in D.C. is taking the lead on prosecuting crimes related to the breach of the Capitol, adding that there may have been a “disconnect” with other offices on some of the evidence.

Please. There was no disconnect with other offices. Sherwin, or one of his flunkies, released this false information to slander conservatives while pleasing their Democrat masters. If someone from my division released information like this without evidence, he would be prosecuted. If a U.S. Attorney does it, it’s a nothing-burger.

I cannot say this enough: do not utter a word to the FBI, or any other federal law enforcement agency. Demand a lawyer and embrace your Fifth Amendment rights.

  1. J-Dub – Definitely a smart move. Saw an article earlier which said Slow Joe was going to stop Trump from being able to see classified information after he leaves office. Who do you trust more with classified info: Trump or the Hair Sniffer.

    1. joe will forget anything Top Secret that he sees within 30 minutes. Joe is about a year behind my Mother, who when I visit, we can have the same conversation four to eight times, and each time it is brand new to her.

Will anyone report that he uses a teleprompter in his cabinet meeting? Or will Dr. Jill be feeding him his lines via an earpiece?

  2. The DOJ is full of useless partisan attorneys, with their tentacles deeply embedded in its infrastructure. It’s common knowledge among law school graduates that it helps to have a certain political tint (pinko, if not red) to one’s resume if you want a job there.
Notice that even as he’s forced to walk back his outrageous statements, he waesal-words it so that there is no “direct” evidence, implying that there is indirect evidence. What a shyster!
