The Most Florida Story Ever

We occasionally poke fun at Florida because a good portion of their citizens are somewhat… disturbed. Of course, there are plenty of good people there, but you have to giggle when you see a story like this.

Several crews in St. Johns County worked to put a large fire overnight at a landfill on St. Mark’s Pond Road.

Three engines, two tankers and one battalion all responded to the fire at the landfill, according to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

The employees of the landfill worked alongside firefighters to help extinguish the flames. Because some of the material on fire were “deep-seated,” landfill personnel had to use equipment to move some of the material that was on fire around and cover it with dirt.

A dumpster fire in a state surrounded by dumpster fires. Oh, the irony.

  1. Brother Tim – I think it’s the latter. Everyone knocks on Florida, so you see the stories more often. Always liked Florida when I visited – although Daytona is kinda seedy – but overall, it’s a nice state.
