Not an entry, this is my rant. Wyatt, you can delete it or move it if you desire. Your blog, your rules.
The School Resource Officer was not even on site. He rushed back and drove right past the shooter to bravely apprehended an unarmed teacher instead. Somehow even though the evil murderer was shooting into the building for minutes the administration never effectively locked the building down. The “on-scene” commander decided to wait “for more equipment” while the shooter kept on shooting, and children bled out for a freaking hour inside the classroom with their killer.
What’s Next? We will hear the Federal, State, and Local had lots of interactions with the murderer. I do not know this for a fact, but I know in my bones this will come out. Law Enforcement knew. They did nothing.
What they will not do? Arm volunteer teachers, administrators, custodians, even the freaking lunch lady if they want to; and if they can pass background checks and get training. It works in other states. It can work in every state, even deep blue, anti-gun, disarm everyone Massachusetts. But there is no graft, no payoffs, and no huge highly paid bureaucracy needed, so corrupt graft swilling politicians will never try it.
Our Children shouldn’t have rely on some idiot Barney Fife that is screwing off elsewhere, and then rushes back to apprehend a teacher from the school instead of a guy walking around outside the school with a rifle and wearing tactical clothes.

I read the officers went in to get THEIR kids out, but waiting for nearly an hour to go in for other people’s kids. It’s despicable.
