Russia Needs To Be Put Down

The host of Russia’s 60 Minutes program is claiming Russia will not stop at Ukraine, and the hostess said after they conquer Ukraine, they will invade Poland next. It’s likely this is just sabre rattling, but I believe Putin is capable of anything.

NATO member Poland could be the next target of a Russian invasion as the war in Ukraine drags on, according to pro-Kremlin Russian TV channel Russia-1.

Presenter Olga Skabeeva, host of the “60 Minutes” talk show and one of Russia’s most prominent state propagandists, was quoted by Daily Beast journalist Julia Davis as saying that Russia should smash Western countries after Ukraine, starting with its neighbor Poland.

Someone should inform Putin that this is not 1939, and Poland is not the road apple they believe they are. Poland hates Russia. They invaded Poland in 1939, they refused to help the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, and sat back while the Poles were slaughtered by the Nazis.

“Perhaps it’s time to acknowledge that maybe Russia’s special operation in Ukraine has come to an end, in a sense that a real war had started: World War III. We’re forced to conduct the demilitarization not only of Ukraine, but of the entire NATO alliance.”

Good luck with that sugar tits. If you think NATO is going to sit back and watch Russia invade another country, you’re dumber than you look.

  1. They’re just negotiating an exit strategy through the media. Moving the Overton window if you will. You are correct in calling this sabre rattling as they can now point to “not” invading Poland in any “peaceful” settlement as a show of good will.

Love him or hate him, Trump did the same with tariffs. Used them as a negotiation ploy with great effect.

But yeah, I’m not losing any sleep if Putin is found hanging from a bedsheet.

  2. Putin needs to put his humiliation in trying to conquer Ukraine aside and do what is best for his countrymen.

  3. Putin is not Hitler and Ukraine was not “low hanging fruit”. Even if Putin manages a complete takeover of Ukraine, it comes at a heavy cost. And even if he dreams of world domination, he will need to consolidate and rebuild his forces. There is no “second invasion” in the immediate future.

  4. Rudy – Putin is a POS. He, like F. Joe Biden, wants a legacy, and he doesn’t care if it’s good or evil.

Ronni – The Ukraine soccer team beat Scotland yesterday. If they beat Wales this week, they’re in the World Cup.

Mike AKA Proof – Even if he wins, he loses. He thought it would take weeks. It’s been months.

    1. He’s no more a POS than most Western “leaders.” Rudy’s probably right. And since when would we expect OUR host of 60 Minutes to be setting real military strategy? Or telegraphing it to the world like that? It’s likely just some rah-rah-rah morale-boosting propaganda for internal consumption.

The West is pretty ignorant about what motivates Russia. That’s how this stupid war got started … western miscalculation. At least let us hope so. If it wasn’t miscalculation, it was some Hitler-level evil on the part of NATO/EU/Davos/WEF using the Ukraine as bait.

Ukraine was the money-laundering center for US politicians for a decade. It’s a shame both sides can’t lose. Or can they?

      1. Oh, they’re corrupt as F. Joe Biden and the Clintons, but in this case I would rather see Ukraine slaughter Russians than the other way around. As for your final thought, I think they both are on the losing side.

  5. Geography is history. Russia is back to their ‘need’ for a buffer region between them and Oligarch-riddled NATO. Expect Russian to devour Ukraine, no matter how many years it takes. Then they will move on to Moldova. The Baltics and Poland will come after. This is the trajectory Russia is on unless they have their butt kicked hard and someone stands on their neck afterwards.

They don’t feel ‘safe’ without mountain barriers.

Anyway…expect this war to get bigger in the months or years to come. Hopefully I’ll be wrong.

  6. I ask this because I don’t know, but just which leader of a NATO country would have the balls to stand up and do something? Hell most of them willingly bent over and took in refugees (read military-aged Muslim men w/no women or children) who are most likely waiting for something to distract them enough so that they can carve out areas of Shariah law and just take the country that way.

  7. Gary – I think Poland would stand up to Russia, as would Slovakia and Chechia. The rest? I sincerely doubt it.

RG – Yeah, because they are truthtellers.
