    1. Too freaking true. Sri Lanka was a booming Agricultural Paradise, self sufficient in food with a huge export market for Tea, Spices, and such for decades.

Last Spring they went 100% Organic. Crash Program. No Warning.
No Planning. They did get a lot of GREAT PRESS COVERAGE and WEF AWARDS! They have an ESG Score over 90!

Complete 100% Organic. No chemical fertilizers, no herbicides, no pesticides. By last Fall that meant almost no agricultural exports, and not even enough rice to feed their own people.

      1. BTW, Those Netherlands Farmer Protests? New WEF supported Nitrogen (Fertilizer) rules will ELIMINATE 30% of the Dutch Farms. Poof! Gone!

That plot of land your family has farmed for Centuries? Too Bad! We must sacrifice it (and your family) to Climate Change and new EU Regulations. The Netherlands also has a high (<90) ESG Score from the WEF too. Something to brag about to your fellow insulated transnational bureaucrats.

(I bet half the fallowed farms will make wonderful Grand Estates for our new lords and masters! The other half will make nice new environmentally correct suburban developments and make the developers rich, rich, rich.)

  1. My boss is from Sri Lanka. He said it will be interesting if they do anything about the previous ruling family looting the national treasury. Sounded like a Marcos deal on steroids. The top three guys in the government were all related.
