The Unluckiest Woman On Earth

An Australian woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a rollercoaster at the Royal Melbourne Show. Shylah Rodden was trying to receive her cell phone when it fell under the tracks, and was hit by the coaster.

Shylah Rodden, the victim of a horrific rollercoaster accident Sunday in Australia, had walked on the track to retrieve a cell phone, a video posted to social media showed.

Rodden, 26, remains in a critical condition at Royal Melbourne Hospital after she walked onto the rollercoaster track at the Royal Melbourne Show on Sunday night and was struck by the coaster. Rodden was trying to retrieve a dropped phone from beneath the track when she was struck and dragged 25 feet into the air before falling.

I’m guessing she didn’t think the rollercoaster was close, or obviously she wouldn’t have tried to retrieve the phone. Worse, still is this little tidbit…

Rodden had just learned to walk again after a horrific car crash last year.

Here’s hoping Shylah pulls through; she’s a very pretty girl.

  1. I don’t wish any ill on her, but her car crash injuries came about because she wasn’t wearing her seat belt and was ejected during the crash. She doesn’t really have a history of making good decisions. I still wish her the best possible outcome, though.
