A recent poll showed President Trump is winning over the Hispanic electorate. Currently, the president is enjoying an approval rating at 44%, and would likely win 41% off the Hispanic vote if he faced “democratic socialist” Bernie Sanders.
He was told being strict on illegal immigration would doom him among Hispanic voters.
Yet President Trump has defied their predictions, from the moment he delivered his address to the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2013 — warning the Republican Party that legalizing 11 million illegal immigrants was political suicide — through the 2016 presidential election and into the White House.
Now nine months out from his second Election Day, and despite a tenure in the White House that has involved building a border wall, stepping up deportations and insulting some Latin American nations as “s—hole” countries, Mr. Trump is as strong as ever among Hispanic voters, according to the polls.
One poll puts his approval rating as high as 44% and shows him winning 41% of the Hispanic vote in a head-to-head match-up with Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont. That would best his 2016 showing of 28% support and put him in the running with President George W. Bush for the highest share of Hispanic votes for a GOP candidate. (H/T – AOSHQ)
While that’s an amazing statistic, it’s also a reminder we cannot stay home on Election Day. Any of these Democrats could conceivably win this thing, so don’t get cocky. Get out and vote.
There are very few families I despise more than the McCains – the Kardashians come to mind – so it was hardly surprising to see this report, claiming McCain’s leftist clan plans to endorse Gropey Joe Biden for president in 2020.
The family of the late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain is reportedly planning to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.
McCain’s widow, Cindy, and daughter, Meghan — a co-host on ABC’s “The View”— will endorse Biden’s campaign at some point after the former vice president officially announces, according to a Wednesday report from the Washington Examiner, citing sources close to Biden’s campaign and the McCain family.
Biden gave a eulogy at McCain’s Arizona funeral, and Meghan recently came to the former vice president’s defense after recent allegations of inappropriate touching, calling him a “truly decent” man.
Cindy McCain allegedly denied this report, but let’s be honest, the McCains are going to endorse whoever is running against the president. Like the Clintons, the McCains are another family who I truly wish would go away.
Leftist former Starbucks head Howard Schultz has decided he wants to ruin the country like he ruined his business. Namely, he’s running for president in 2020.
These days, the difference between the parties is starker than it’s ever been in modern times. Yet here comes Howard Schultz, a billionaire who feels that he might be the answer to American politics.
Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO, says in a 60 Minutes interview already recorded but airing on Sunday that he is thinking very seriously about a presidential run—but he stops short of a full announcement.
He makes clear, however, that if he moves forward, he will do so as an independent.
Oh Cthulhu, make this happen and I will build many temples in your honor.
Already top Democratic operatives working for presidential candidates and beyond say they’re worried that the only thing he’ll accomplish is making sure Donald Trump gets reelected.
Leftist Democrats – but I repeat myself – destroyed Schultz in Twitter after his announcement, and Schultz reportedly responded, “I’m not running for president of Twitter.” It’s that kind of moxie which will lure Democrat voters… and sweep President Trump into a second term.
If this article is any indication, President Trump may be celebrating Christmas in July.
Hillary Clinton is up to something.
Five times in the last month alone, she sent e-mails touting her super PAC’s role in combating President Trump. Most seized on headline events, such as the family-separation issue at the southern border.
And the day after Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement, Clinton introduced Demand Justice. It promises to protect “reproductive rights, voting rights and access to health care” by keeping Senate Democrats united in opposing any conservative Trump nominee.
The instant, in-house nature of Demand Justice was reflected by the name of its executive director: Brian Fallon, Clinton’s campaign press secretary.
Fallon’s role doesn’t tell us something we didn’t know. Onward Together, formed in May of 2017, is a Clinton 2020 campaign vehicle in waiting. Its homepage says the group “is dedicated to advancing the vision that earned nearly 66 million votes in the last election.”
Dear Missus Cankles, please, please, please run again in 2020. I beg of you. Run in 2024, 2028, and 2032, for that matter. You are the gift which keeps on giving, and a third consecutive loss will destroy you.
The dumbest man ever elected to public office is considering a presidential run in 2020.
“I’m going to run in 2020. For president. So, uh, what the hell, man,” the departing vice president told reporters Monday with only a slight smile on his face. Given a chance to walk it back, he did — but only a bit.
Asked if he was joking, he said: “I’m not committing not to run. I’m not committing to anything. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening.”
Biden, who turned 74 last month, will turn 78 shortly after the 2020 election. Ronald Reagan was just a few days short of turning 78 when he left office in January 1989, making him the oldest person to serve as president.
Count me in as someone who supports Sheriff Joe’s run. This creepy bastard would be a treasure trove of post ideas for (at least) four years.
