Appearing Monday on the Fox News Channel, former U.S. military officer Jean Marie Thrower estimated that approximately 1,000 Americans remain in Afghanistan following the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the war-torn country.
TRACE GALLAGHER: The State Department says roughly 100 are still trying to leave the country. My next guest disputes that figure, saying the number is closer to a 1,000. With us is Jean Marie Thrower with Plan B Afghan Rescue Crew. You and your organization are doing exceptional work. Tell us why you believe their are a lot more, maybe 1,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan.
JEAN MARIE THROWER: Definitely there are more than the 100 being stated. We have multiple groups of teams working together and we continue to work with these rosters to know where they are at. I want to say as a veteran that I am appalled by our administration in how they disrespected Americans and our allies, as well as put our soldiers’ future operations globally in jeopardy.
It’s a disgrace the Biden administration is doing nothing to get these Americans out of harm’s way. Of those estimated 1,000 Americans inside Afghanistan, I wonder how many have been harassed, attacked, or killed? But hey, at least we don’t have any more mean tweets.
The illegitimate president, as well as the State Department and the Pentagon, have been refusing private organizations from recovering and evacuating American citizens left behind in Afghanistan. The movement was born when the illegitimate president decided they cannot – or will not – rescue Americans held behind enemy lines.
Under orders from the White House, the State Department, and the Pentagon, the troops on the ground in Afghanistan presided over a partial, chaotic, and awful evacuation of American citizens and Afghan allies in the last days before the U.S. withdrew its military and diplomatic presence entirely from Afghanistan. Since then, private organizations have been trying desperately to rescue Americans, Afghan allies, and Afghans who converted to Christianity. The last two groups face imminent death. On Tuesday afternoon, Fox News reported that the State Department is refusing to grant approval for those charter flights.
So “President” Joe Biden is going to leave these Americans to die.
According to Fox News, the State Department is withholding the necessary approval that will allow privately chartered flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries. The administration is saying it’s too dangerous to let these planes land at Defense Department airbases:
The State Department refused to grant official approval for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries, even though the department conceded that official authorization would likely be needed for planes to land in those nations, an email reviewed by Fox News shows.
This administration will not lift a finger to rescue these Americans, or let private contractors rescue them. Do you think this administration would lift a finger to help you or your loved ones?
Furthermore, the State Department explicitly stated that charter flights, even those containing American citizens, would not be allowed to land at Defense Department (DOD) airbases. U.S. officials have pointed to possible security threats from landing charter planes at military bases, saying that they lack the resources on the ground to fully verify flight manifests.
That’s interesting, because the administration had no problem shoving hundreds of Afghanis into cargo planes without vetting them. I guess unknown Afghanis who may or not be Taliban soldiers don’t need a background check.
The author finishes with this:
I would posit that even more remain behind because, before the pullout, Biden himself admitted that there were 10,000 to 15,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan. In the end, those planes leaving Afghanistan before the U.S. pulled out carried only 6,000 Americans. I’m not good at math, but that tells me that 4,000 to 9,000 were left behind. (H/T – J.J. Sefton)
I’d wager the number is closer to 9,000 than 4,000. These people trusted their country and their president to bring them home, and the chances of that happening anytime soon is slim to none.
During the botched, chaotic clusterf**k that was the surrender of Afghanistan, the illegitimate president left more than American citizens to fend for themselves; he also abandoned the Afghani who saved his life.
Thirteen years ago, Afghan interpreter Mohammed helped rescue then-Sen. Joe Biden and two other senators stranded in a remote Afghanistan valley after their helicopter was forced to land in a snowstorm. Now, Mohammed is asking President Biden to save him.
“Hello Mr. President: Save me and my family,” Mohammed, who asked not to use his full name while in hiding, told The Wall Street Journal as the last Americans flew out of Kabul on Monday. “Don’t forget me here.”
This dementia-addled jackass wouldn’t bring back Americans trapped behind enemy lines; do you really believe he would bring back the man who saved his life?
Mohammed and his four children are hiding from the Taliban after his years-long attempt to get out of Afghanistan got tangled in the bureaucracy. They are among countless Afghan allies who were left behind when the U.S. ended its 20-year military campaign in Afghanistan on Monday.
Mohammed was a 36-year-old interpreter for the U.S. Army in 2008 when two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters made an emergency landing in Afghanistan during a blinding snowstorm. On board were three U.S. senators: Mr. Biden, the Delaware Democrat, John Kerry, (D., Mass.) and Chuck Hagel, (R., Neb.).
Mohammad and his crew drove to the location and rescued these worthless politicians. One wonders if the Taliban will find him and murder him for helping the United States.
Either way, Mohammad is a hero. Joe Biden? Not so much.
The U.S. military is leaving behind 75,000 vehicles, 600,000 weapons and 208 airplanes/helicopters in Afghanistan as the Taliban takes control of the country, according to the watchdog group Open the Books.
“We’ve made the Taliban into a major U.S. arms dealer for the next decade,” said Adam Andrzejewski, CEO & founder of Open the Books. “They now control 75,000 military vehicles. This is about 50,000 tactical vehicles, 20,000 Humvees they control about 1,000 mine-resistant vehicles, and even about 150 armored personnel carriers.”
The worst part is the Taliban will sell many of these weapons and vehicles to other countries, who will use American technology to make their own weapons equal to or better than ours.
Andrzejewski said his organization “found a Federal Audit that detailed up to $200 million worth of drones that had disappeared,” adding that “we don’t know where 600,000 weapons are within the country.”
Two hundred million dollars worth of drones, gone. We laughed at Obama when he was droning American citizens overseas, but eventually our own drones may be wiping out American citizens on U.S. soil. Well, I guess the fact that Trump is out of office is certainly worth it.
The former captain of the Afghanistan Women’s National Soccer Team is warning her fellow players still in Afghanistan to delete all social media, burn uniforms, and discard their soccer gear to avoid retaliation by the radical Islamist Taliban.
Khalida Popal, who now lives in Copenhagen, told Reuters that in the past, members of the Taliban had beaten, raped, and murdered female athletes for violating the Taliban’s Islamist tenets. Popal says she is scared for women athletes still stuck in Afghanistan.
That will likely continue, if it is not already underway.
While the U.S.A. was assuring the safety of Afghanistan, Popal told her girls to stand up proudly and “be visible.” But now that the Taliban is back, she has a different message.
“Today, I’m calling them and telling them, take down their names, remove their identities, take down their photos for their safety. Even I’m telling them to burn down or get rid of your national team uniform,” she told Reuters.
Yet another loss for the illegitimate president. One wonders how many people will be murdered due to his reckless actions in Afghanistan.
Commenting on former President Obama’s Instagram page was briefly suspended Monday morning as commenters urged the former president to do something about the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.
I don’t understand why he would suspend comments. He built that!
Obama has yet to issue a public statement on the rapidly declining situation in Afghanistan, as thousands of people try to flee the country that fell to Taliban rule in a matter of days.
Don’t hold your breath. Obama is a pussy, and he will sit back, smoke some more weed, eat another dog, and let this all fall on the illegitimate president.
Obama’s Instagram posts said, “Comments on this post have been limited” for roughly two hours Monday morning. His most recent post, a video Thursday touting his All on the Line redistricting campaign, garnered 885 comments before it was shut down Monday.
Wow, it’s almost as if he’s too frightened to answer questions from the American people in a time of crisis. I remember the Benghazi attacks when Obama was at the tip of the spear. Oh wait, he gave a few vague orders before fleeing Washington, D.C. and flying to a fundraiser in Las Vegas.
