The Hong Kong protesters – I call them freedom fighters – started singing The Star-Spangled Banner on Thanksgiving after President Trump signed two bills condemning Red China.
On Thanksgiving Day (in the evening, actually) Hong Kong protesters decided to sing the American national anthem as a gesture of thanks for President Trump signing two bills into law Wednesday that condemned China. When they were done with “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the protesters chanted “USA, USA, USA.”
The first of the two bills signed into law by President Trump on Wednesday requires the State Department to certify once a year that Hong Kong is sufficiently autonomous to retain its special U.S. trading consideration. The second bill, meanwhile, makes it illegal to sell munitions like tear gas and rubber bullets to Hong Kong police.
To the Hong Kong protesters, these bills are proof that the United States has their back. America offers them moral support, and they are grateful for it.
Yes, this move will anger the Chinese, but I believe the upside greatly outweighs the downside. The previous president never stood up for those desiring freedom across the pond, with disastrous results. These bills may not be all that important in the grand scheme of things, but to those protesters, it means everything.

Yes, that headline is obvious to even the tertiary of sports fans, but it bears repeating. Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey expressed support for the oppressed people of Hong Kong this weekend, and you’ll never guess the reaction of the NBA brass.
Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri thrashed the NBA Monday afternoon for the league’s reaction after the Houston Rocket’s general manager, Daryl Morey, expressed support for Hong Kong activists.
Hawley criticized the league for not standing up for employees who pushed back against what the Republican thinks is Chinese aggression. His response comes following the NBA issuing several apologies to China after Morey asked his Twitter followers to stand with Hong Kong.
“I write today to express my disgust about the position of the National Basketball Association (NBA) with respect to Hong Kong and the freedom of the Chinese people,” the Missouri Republican wrote in a letter to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
Morey’s Friday night tweet cheering on Hong Kong activists who are protesting the Chinese government created a fire-storm. He asked his Twitter followers to “Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong.” The missive angered league officials.
The NBA played a game in China this weekend, and Mr. Morey was forced to apologize to the communist regime whose boots are currently on the necks of Hong Kong citizens. Apparently the NBA couldn’t care less if the Hong Kong people were systematically murdered.
Meet Berry Ng.
The 22-year old Hong Kong woman has undergone thirty plastic surgery operations in an effort to please her abusive, douchebag boyfriend.
Berry NG claims that her plastic surgery addiction began when she saw a beauty center offering affordable student packages that cost HKD 799 (102 USD) for three injections. However, over the course of a few hours, the beautician persuaded her to go for a more expensive package costing HKD 17,000 (2175 USD).
Berry was so pleased with the results that she began to seek more treatments and soon found herself addicted to cosmetic surgery. However, things got even worse when she was 20 years old and entered into a romantic relationship with a man nine years her senior.
Her partner was verbally abusive and continuously insulted her looks, comparing her unfavorably to other women. Berry responded by going on a plastic surgery spree over a six month period, during which time she underwent the majority of her 30 cosmetic procedures.
“If he had ever said ‘you are beautiful’ even for once at the time, I would have stopped,” Berry told China Press. (H/T – AOSHQ)
The verbal abuse is a terrible thing, but in my opinion, the plastic surgery is worse. Ng looks beautiful now, but she was extremely pretty beforehand. All of this could have been avoided if the douche canoe told her she was a pretty girl.
