Former New York governor and current sexual harasser Andrew Cuomo apparently over-bought hand sanitizer during the Chinese Wuhan Virus pandemic. In fact, the state is sitting on 700,000 gallons of hand sanitizer which has never been used.
In the wake of COVID-19’s worst assault on New York, the state was left with more than 700,000 gallons of unused NYS Clean hand sanitizer, sprawled out on a runway at a state training facility near Utica.
And now, officials have to figure out how to dispose of it all.
I have a few ideas…
1. Remove the water from water slides and replace it with hand sanitizer.
2. Send it to the multitude of strip clubs in the state… for obvious reasons.
3. Use it to cover the Statue of Liberty, thereby making her immune to dirt and grime.
Millions of bottles were produced by the state, in response to a shortage of hand sanitizer early in the pandemic. The ones that went unused now sit on pallets under the sun at a state preparedness training center in Oriskany, Oneida County, covered in blue tarps, Politico reported last month.
I mean, if the sanitizer is just cooking in the sun, why not mix it in with the lunches at New York public schools? It’s not like the lunches could get any more appetizing.
New York politicians are desperately planning to spin the fact their state is hemorrhaging citizens at an alarming rate. Millionaires, especially, are fleeing New York, thanks to the continually rising taxes.
New York elected officials are scrambling to spin their disastrous population losses as something that can easily be reversed with just a few tweaks to the business environment, more federal aid and more spending from Albany and City Hall.
Sorry, the municipal-bond market appears to disagree.
It took a while, but New York’s millionaires have finally had enough, and they’re headed south for a more pleasing economic climate.
Despite constant bashing from class-warfare-obsessed progressives, those much-maligned millionaires and billionaires generate most of the city’s and state’s tax revenues. Rich people were willing to pay high taxes and subsidize this largesse because the Big Apple was still the cultural center of the world, and because under Mayors Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg the streets remained safe.
If history is any guide (see the 1970s fiscal crisis) it won’t end well. Once the federal COVID-relief money dries up, Hochul and Adams will be looking at a shrinking tax base, much higher debt-service costs and big budget problems — just what the markets are foreshadowing. Politicians may spin, but municipal-bond prices don’t lie.
This is a good news, bad news situation. On the one hand, people are fleeing New York, which will cripple the tax base. On the other hand, these New Yorkers will bring their leftist policies with them, and ruin some southern states with their politics.
Credibly accused sexual harasser, and former governor of New York Andrew Cuomo has screwed – figuratively, this time – the state of New York by closing six prisons, including the one where Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.
New York officials on Monday announced plans to close six state prisons early next year, one of the largest such closings by the state as its prisoner population continues to decline.
With the closings, Gov. Kathy Hochul is following the lead of her predecessor, Andrew M. Cuomo, who shut 18 prisons during his nearly 11 years in office amid a series of criminal justice reforms that reduced New York’s prison population to its lowest level since 1984.
I find it hilarious how Hochul distanced herself from Cuomo after he resigned, but continued to implement his policies. She’s no worse than the serial pincher.
Prison closings have typically been contentious in New York because the facilities are major employers in the upstate communities where many of them have shut down, even as criminal justice reform advocates view the moves as the fruits of long-running efforts to end mass incarceration.
Republicans were quick to attack Ms. Hochul, a Democrat from the Buffalo area, over the decision, portraying it as an affront to prison officers, and seeking to tie the closings to measures like changes to the state’s bail laws that have been used as a cudgel against Democrats. (H/T – Kitty Myers)
New York City is a lawless war zone, and this jackass wants to close six prisons? I guess if you have six less prisons, you can have many more thugs on the street.
A New York woman has been told she will lose custody of her child because, get this, there is a rock on her property painted with the confederate flag.
The upstate woman has been told she needs to ditch a driveway decoration painted with a confederate flag or risk losing custody of her mixed race child — even though a family court judge didn’t consider it to be an issue when it was raised during trial.
“Given that the child is of mixed race, it would seem apparent that the presence of the flag is not in the child’s best interests, as the mother must encourage and teach the child to embrace her mixed race identity, rather than thrust her into a world that only makes sense through the tortured lens of cognitive dissonance,” judges with the Appellate Division’s Third Department in Albany wrote in a ruling.
There are two sets of laws in America now. One for the powerful, and one for the rest of us.
The “presence of the confederate flag,” when “viewed pragmatically,” “is a symbol inflaming the already strained relationship between the parties,” the judges said.
They ruled if the rock is not removed by June 1, “its continued presence shall constitute a change in circumstances,” meaning the parents’ custody agreement could be revisited, and “Family Court shall factor this into any future best interests analysis.”
This is straight up blackmail, and the parents should tell the judges to go fuck themselves.
Now, I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure painting a rock still falls under the protections of the First Amendment. If a set of corrupt judges can take your children because of a painted rock, they can surely take away your children for flying a Trump flag, or for “wrong-speak.”
The New York legislature just approved a seven billion dollar tax hike for the “eeevil rich” and statewide businesses.
This is a brilliant plan with lots of well thought-out, practical ideas. The legislature is insuring the financial security of this state for years to come
The tax increases come despite a $100 billion avalanche of fresh federal aid to New York, including $12.6 billion directly to state government coffers.
So instead of giving the citizens and businesses a break for once, New York is going to bleed the rich dry and raise taxes on businesses who haven’t been fully running for over a year.
Assembly leaders crowed in a press release Sunday that state lawmakers are proposing a $208.3 billion budget for the next fiscal year. Their plan includes a 22.6 percent increase in spending — or $16.9 billion — over last year. That’s more than 10.5 percent higher than what Gov. Andrew Cuomo is proposing.
To help cover the new proposed expenses such as rent for “New Yorkers who do not have access to unemployment, federal stimulus funds and other assistance programs’’ — including illegal immigrants — the pols said they want to raise the nearly $7 billion in new revenue through the taxes.
Living where I do, I have been to New York City multiple times. There are some amazing places in the city, and I’ve been lucky enough to see a Yankees game at the old park as well as the new. I’ve been to MSG to see the Rangers, and have been to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and other amazing locales.
That said, nothing good will come of this legislation. The wealthy will simply pack their bags and head south – probably Florida, ironically – and the businesses will either relocate or shutter their doors forever. Everyone has been hurt by the Chinese Wuhan Virus – even the eeevil rich – and most people will start looking for less oppressive places to live.
I feel awful for those living there, but New York can burn to the ground for all I care.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York Legislature have crafted a laughably unconstitutional bill which would allow Cuomo to arrest and detain anyone who has the Chinese Wuhan Virus, as well as anyone who was in contact with the detainee.
The bill A416, obviously meant to deal with the Wuhan virus, allows for the detention of any carrier of a disease (or contacts that person has had) to be detained in a medical facility or “other appropriate facility or premises designated by the governor.” The governor or his designee can simply have anyone locked up under this if he puts out the order. Talk about troubling and dangerous.
The language is so ambiguous it can give license to lock up anyone, even those without illness, if they just had “contact” with someone who might have been ill and “cases” could mean anything including asymptomatic people. This isn’t even close to being constitutional and violates almost everything you can imagine.
The bill reads like it was penned by Heinrich Himmler. Any citizen with the Chinese Wuhan Virus can be arrested and “detained” solely on the basis of some politician’s “opinion.”
The governor can determine, on his own opinion, if you get locked up. (H/T – CBD)
What say you, New York? Are you going to allow this to happen, or will you resist this Nazi?
You can read the bill by clicking here. I’d suggest you take a moment to read this disaster of a bill, especially if you live in New York. If you live in a blue state, legislation may be coming your way, too.
Good news, everyone! Thanks to more than six months of BLM/Antifa riots, Americans in big cities have finally realized it’s time to get the hell out.
Apartment rents fell this year in 10 of the nation’s most expensive cities — like San Francisco, New York, Boston and Seattle — amidst a pronounced exodus by occupants, according to an analysis by RENTCafé, a search website.
* Rental applications dropped 10% in 2020, according to the site.
* The median income of renters — which rose in 2018 and 2019 — stagnated at $38,400, the same as last year.
By the numbers: For those who were lucky enough to have expiring leases or break existing ones, there was good news: The national average rent stayed at $1,465 instead of rising.
I mean, sure, the lower rent is terrific, but it’s severely offset by the congestion, the violence, and the chance your house will literally be burned to the ground.
A New York woman – let’s call her “Karen” – approached a bikini-clad woman outside Freedom Lake and demeaned her for being “naked.”
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
While filming videos at upstate New York’s Freedom Lake, TikTok user Aurea was approached by an angry mother who said her string bikini bottom constituted being naked — and her sons could not look away.
In their recorded interaction, the unidentified mother approaches Aurea and tells her to “get her ass covered,” telling her she’s not allowed to “be nude on a beach,” despite Aurea wearing a swimsuit.
Remember, this happened at FREEDOM LAKE.
“What do you mean?” Aurea asked. “Is there a rule that says that?”
The mom, who has not been identified, insists that there is — and, additionally, her children are staring.
Of course they were staring… they’re boys! Look Karen, just because you don’t look good in a bathing suit anymore doesn’t mean you have to crush the hopes and dreams of your uber-horny children.
An Israeli stewardess is now in a coma after she contracted measles in either Israel or New York City. Great work, anti-vaxxers. Really great work.
Israeli health officials said the 43-year-old El Al flight attendant now has encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain and complication of the potentially fatal virus — which she may have contracted in New York, Israel or on a flight between the two locations.
“She’s been in a deep coma for 10 days, and we’re now just hoping for the best,” said Dr. Itamar Grotto, associate director general of Israel’s Ministry of Health.
The woman, who had been healthy prior to contracting measles, is now on a respirator in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Kfar Saba, near Tel Aviv. She was admitted to Meir Medical Center after developing a fever on March 31.
The woman was vaccinated as a child but received only one dose, which is only about 93% effective. Two doses of the vaccine — which began being administered in the United States in 1989 — increases its effectiveness to about 97%, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The article then goes on to effectively blame the victim, stating she only had one measles shot, instead of two. One shot is 93% effective, but apparently it is less effective when thousands of illegals flood our borders and bring in diseases we’ve previously eliminated.
But we can’t talk about that…
