The Big Rotten Apple

A civilian employee of the New York City Police Department is claiming the department discriminates against minorities, including blacks and Hispanics. The civilian claims the department actively dismisses minority applicants.

The NYPD uses a “biased investigation process” to boot civil service candidates from working with the department, and doesn’t give those workers enough time to challenge the decisions made against them.

The legal claim from Arabia Jennings says she was sidelined and sent to work in a rodent-infested storage closet after she raised alarms about the department’s hiring practices.

As a white male police detective, who has been discriminated against since Barack Obama took office, the only thing I can say to Ms. Jennings is, “Welcome to the party, pal!”

Jennings rose through the ranks to eventually supervise the NYPD’s Civil Litigation Unit, where staffers review recommendations to disqualify civil service candidates from working with the department.

Jennings, who is black, voiced concern about “a disproportionate number of African-American and Latino candidates [that] were being disqualified from employment with the NYPD,” she said in the Manhattan Federal Court lawsuit. (H/TMike AKA Proof)

If I’m going to be honest and fair with you, I have little sympathy for a department which arrests Jews for attending their Synagogues, or ejecting crying toddlers from restaurants because they were not fully vaccinated.

The Police Are Not Your Friends

You know, I never thought I would say this, and I certainly never thought I would believe it, but the Covid years have certainly revealed who the police in many big cities have truly become. In short, they’re fascists, bowing to corrupt politicians and unconstitutional mandates. Take the NYPD, for instance; arguably the most corrupt department in America.

From “we’re all in this together” to “papers, please,” the coronavirus pandemic has evolved from a common enemy into a perfectly good excuse to ruin a family’s night out by threat of arrest.

Video posted to Twitter appears to show the New York Police Department (NYPD) walking up to a family at a dine-in restaurant and demanding they either produce proof of their COVID-19 vaccines or leave the eatery. The video opens with a clip of a scared-looking young boy crying and attempting to leave as ordered.

The NYPD showed up with nearly a dozen officers to eject a family from a pizza joint, while simultaneously scaring the hell out of a crying child.

Now I’m sure they’ll claim they were “just following orders,” but the cops in this video certainly seem to love their work. It’s disgusting.

“Is this what you signed up for? Is this what justice looks like?” the off-screen woman demands of the officers as they stand there. “Is this what you dreamed of when you wanted to be a cop?”

Other diners can be seen and heard in the background, and the police proudly announce that if those without vaccine cards leave voluntarily, no charges will be pressed against them. How generous.

Obviously there are good cops and some good departments, but the amount of over-officious police officers are skyrocketing. I haven’t seen anyone from my department try this garbage, which is a good thing. Germany and Australia have been recording beating citizens who do not have their papers or who are not wearing masks. Eventually this is coming here, and it’s going to be very ugly.

In the end, I think it’s up to the individual citizen to protect themselves and their families; because after seeing this disgrace, I sincerely doubt the police are coming to rescue you anytime soon.

NYPD Officers Having Second Thoughts

A recent survey of New York City police officers found more than half of the department stated they would not have joined the force. I don’t work for the NYPD, but me sentiments are the same.

An internal New York Police Department survey of nearly 6,000 officers found that 56% of NYPD cops say they wouldn’t become a police officer if they had a chance to do it all over again, according to the New York Post.

I really wanted to go into law enforcement when I graduated college. I wanted Feds, but whatever. I loved the job for the first half of my career, but looking back, I wasted my life. Sure, the job helped pay the bills, and we live moderately comfortably, but I would have been better off in another career.

Any other career, actually.

When asked if they feel the public disrespects them, 46% of officers believed they are disrespected versus 42% who didn’t believe so. The officers were asked if the public distrusts them, and 44% agreed while 41% disagreed. There were 73% of police poll participants who said the public does not have a good relationship with the NYPD.

I’m actually surprised some of the numbers are so low. I figured most NYPD cops would have thought the disrespect and distrust numbers would much higher.

A whopping 80% of NYPD officers, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants, and captains are hesitant to aggressively fight crime because of the ramifications of criminal liability, being sued, or being unfairly disciplined.

This is true in most blue city police departments. In the last few weeks, the department has taken the guns of nearly forty police officers, and placed them on suspension. Why? Because their body cam video did not exactly match what the officers said on the stand in court. Most officers do not review the camera footage before court appearances, mostly because it’s a rushed proposition. When you arrive, the ADA talks to you and pushes you toward the stand.

So a few officers misstated a location or an action they performed – months ago, by the way – and the Soros-appointed District Attorney placed them on suspension. Because the D.A. despises the cops here, he will use all his might to make sure these officers are fired.

It’s defunding the police without having to say you’re defunding the police. The department’s bosses wonders why no one wants to do the job anymore, and yet, the answer is right in the mirror.

Andrew Cuomo Is A Nazi

New York governor Andrew Cuomo – a man who should be prosecuted with hundreds of counts of manslaughter – attacked members of the NYPD for refusing to enforce Thanksgiving restrictions.

Imagine being such a giant, throbbing asshole?

Last week, Cuomo issued updated COVID-19-related restrictions — which included a 10-person limit on indoor gatherings — to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

His latest remarks come on the heels of New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea’s recent announcement that the NYPD has no plans to break up indoor gatherings despite the state limit being 10 people per home.

This is the same prick who told New Yorkers to stay home, while he was planning to have his mother and two daughters come to his residence for the holiday. So his family, his mother, daughters, and all his servants sure seems like it’s over the ten-person mark.

Of course, when Andrew doesn’t get his way, he lashes out…

According to a Wednesday New York Post report, Cuomo blasted police for turning a blind eye to such gatherings, and for allegations that many officers themselves refuse to wear masks.

“A lot of police officers don’t wear a mask,” he said. “[W]ell, how are you then supposed to enforce other people wearing a mask when they see you not wearing a mask? ‘I violate the law but you can’t.’ No! Nobody said you were above the law! I don’t believe that person is a law enforcement officer. I don’t want a law enforcement officer who says, ‘I’m only enforcing the law that I like or think should be enforced.'”

Hey nipple rings, you flout your own Chinese Wuhan Virus restrictions all the time! Cripes, you likely flouted the decree yesterday, so please spare us your sanctimony. You’re a tyrant. A Nazi who enjoys taking freedom away from the American people.

Choke on your unconstitutional edicts, and choke on a turkey leg.

Oh, I saw this at AOSHQ yesterday: Cuomo had checkpoints on bridges and throughout the state. But Cuomo is totes not a Nazi.

NYPD To De Blasio: Drop Dead

New York City police officers are retiring at such an alarming rate the personnel office had to slow the amount of paperwork they receive on any given day.

The New York City Police Department is reportedly having to limit the number of retirement applications that it processes on a daily basis due to the overwhelming number of officers who are retiring due to loss of overtime pay and a lack of respect in the current political environment that demonizes police officers.

Now why would that be? This is an enriching, fulfilling, honorable profession which earns respect from both the law-abiding community and the seedy underworld.

“A surge of city cops filing papers during the past week more than quadrupled last year’s number — as the city grapples with a surge of shootings — and the stampede caused a bottleneck that’s forcing others to delay putting in their papers.” “The astonishing rush for the door came as 503 cops filed for retirement between May 25 — the day George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, sparking anti-cop protests around the country — and July 3, the NYPD said.”

Even for a department with 19,000 officers, 503 retirements in nine days is a startling statistic. It should also be noted the retirements likely didn’t stop on June 3rd. If anything, the situation has gotten worse in the last month, and I’m certain the number of officers putting in papers is now well over 1,000.

“Apparently, the pension section is only taking a certain amount of people per day and I think they are backed up till late July, early August,” one police officer told the Post. “That’s why you don’t see like 100 a day, because they are only doing like 35 to 40 a day, by appointment.” (H/TJ.J. Sefton, AOSHQ)

My department is in the same boat. If you call the personnel department to schedule early retirement, you’ll get a date in three to four months. Most officers in blue cities are getting out because the mayors, district attorneys, police commissioners, and many citizens no longer have our backs.

If you think blue cities are violent now, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

And So It Begins

For many New York City police officers, the realization has finally hit them like a ton of bricks. Literally. Neither the city, the mayor, nor the command staff has their backs, so officers are deciding to get out while the gettin’s good.

Believe me when I tell you, this is not just a New York phenomenon. It’s everywhere.

The flurry of Finest farewells began after the police-involved killing of George Floyd on May 25, with 272 uniformed cops putting in retirement papers from then through June 24, the NYPD says.

That’s a 49 percent spike from the 183 officers who filed during the same period last year.

Dan Bongino said on his podcast a week or two ago he is hearing the numbers are closer to 600; which includes resignations and retirements. He’s former NYPD, so he may have the inside scoop.

An NYPD source suggested the recent departures could signal a coming crisis for the 36,000-member department, which also faces a $1 billion budget reduction amid the “defund the police” furor.

One of my fellow detectives brought this to my attention, and when I checked up on it, I was stunned. Even before the beginning of the Floyd riots, we have had many officers either file for early retirement, or just out and out quit. The department releases a teletype message at the end of every day which shows the status of sick officers, resignations, and retirements. There are always a handful of people on the list, but there have been no names on the teletype at all last week. That is very unusual.

We know there are cops leaving for the same reasons the NYPD officers are leaving: no one has our backs here, either. The detective threw out this question: “We know people are leaving, so why are the teletypes more or less blank? Could it be so many are leaving that the department doesn’t want to post the numbers? Do they not want a panic?”

Good question. Everyone can read the daily teletype, so does the department want to admit people are leaving in droves? Do they think that would lead to even more officers fleeing the force? It certainly sounds plausible.

Also, I have heard a few blue city police departments – including NYC – have been considering a sick out during the July 4th weekend. No one in my department has suggested this, as far as I know, but it wouldn’t work here anyway. Our young cops are all about the job, and love pleasing their masters. Not that it would matter, since I’m off this weekend, but I figured you should know what we’ve heard.

UPDATE: Many thanks to CBD from Ace of Spades for the linkage!

Wow, What A Shock

You may find this difficult to believe, but Communist New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s liquidation of the NYPD’s Anti-Crime Unit by is already showing dividends!

New York City appears to have experienced a surge in shootings after the New York Police Department announced that it was eliminating its plainclothes anti-crime unit.

The New York Post reported that since Monday, there have been 28 incidents and 38 victims reported, compared to a total of 12 shootings for the entire week at the same time last year. The Post added, “There have been 97 shootings this month so far, compared to 89 for the whole month of June last year.”

“This is what the politicians wanted — no bail, nobody in Rikers, cops not arresting anyone,” a law enforcement official told The Post. “All those things equal people walking around on the street with guns, shooting each other.”

Interesting. It’s almost as if the mayor favors criminals over cops, but that can’t be right!

“So, this is a permanent change,” de Blasio continued. “The personnel will be using new and different ways to fight crime more effectively and in a way that creates a better relationship with the community, and that’s the way forward for this city and for the NYPD.”

Is this the same community who shot two NYPD officers, stabbed another, and assaulted a fourth with a brick during the Floyd riots? That community?? I’m fairly confident the mayor’s “new and different ways” of fighting crime include – but are not limited to – ignoring looting, driving away from gunshots, and disarming the police so they can more easily be attacked.

The city of New York is finished.

NYPD Cops Sickened By Bleach Shakes

Three New York City police officers were rushed to a hospital after they consumed shakes which contained bleach from a local Shake Shack.

The New York Police Department found no criminality after officers became sick Monday night from shakes they got at a Shake Shack in downtown Manhattan, Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison tweeted early Tuesday. Sources told CBS New York it appears the incident was accidental, possibly the result of cleaning solution that wasn’t properly removed from the shake machine.

Okay, I’m going to go a little Black Helicopter here, but how much bleach does Shake Shack put in their shake machines that would make three grown men so sick? Here’s another question posed by former NYPD officer John Cardillo, “NYPD brass is saying the Shake Shack milkshake machine wasn’t rinsed properly after cleaning and that the three 42 (Precinct) cops weren’t intentionally targeted with the bleach cleaner. If that’s true, why weren’t any other customers affected?”

The officers ordered the shakes in the evening, and the machines are usually cleaned at the end of the night, not when they first open. Also, I’m told you can’t use bleach to sanitize machines like these anymore; many use sanitizer tablets.

Again, I guess it’s possible it was a mistake, but the place was open all day long and the only people who got sick were the cops? That’s pretty thin.

Harrison tweeted that, “After a thorough investigation by the NYPD’s Manhattan South investigators, it has been determined that there was no criminality by Shake Shack’s employees.”

So that “thorough investigation” lasted what, a few hours? The incident happened at about 9pm on Tuesday and was concluded by 4am on Wednesday.

Police – and the police union — initially suspected an employee may have contaminated the shakes with bleach.

I personally think that’s the more reasonable explanation, especially since that entire garbage city hates cops. When I first got on the job, we would take lunch at diners or fact food places, and after a year or so, we narrowed those places down to a few we knew wouldn’t try to make us sick. The list got smaller and smaller as the years went on, and I rarely order anything while I’m on duty.

This sort of thing happens more often than you would believe, and I sincerely hope the NYPD ignores Shake Shack from here on out.

NYC To NYPD: Drop Dead

Anyone who has read my True Detective Stories know I am no special pleader for police officers. That said, when an actual injustice is levied upon officers trying to do their job, I like to be one of the first people to call out the despicable government drones. In this case, it would be cop-hating NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot.

New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot blew off the NYPD’s desperate plea for more masks as coronavirus cases were on the rise.

NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan requested 500,000 surgical masks for his officers in late March. Barbot, claiming she needed the masks for others, told him, “I don’t give two rats’ asses about your cops.”

Now if I worked for the NYPD, I would put Barbot’s residence on my “Do Not Respond” list.

Barbot said that she could only provide the police department with 50,000 masks, but as New York City quickly became a hot zone, it became clear that was not going to be enough. By the end of the first week in April, nearly 20% of the police department was out sick with coronavirus symptoms.

Monahan, likely after cursing out this bitch, contacted the White House and asked for help. The evil President Trump denied their plea because he’s a Russian stooge.

Nah, the Trump administration flooded the NYPD with protective gear in a mere sixteen hours after the request was made. I mean, you all heard about that on the evening news, right? Right??

The Tarnished Badge

Meet NYPD Officer Valerie Cincinelli.

Valerie is a “decorated officer” who apparently spent her work day monitoring security cameras. Meanwhile, she allegedly spent her free time trying to have both her ex-husband and her current boyfriend’s daughter killed.

Valerie Cincinelli, 34, tried to get her current boyfriend to hire a hitman, a police official told NBC 4 New York. Cincinelli was arrested Friday by the FBI following a sting operation. NYPD Internal Affairs assisted in her arrest.

A source familiar with the investigation [said] the child was her current boyfriend’s 14-year-old daughter.

Wow, Cincinelli is truly one of New York’s finest.

The officer previously worked out of the 106th Precinct in Queens, before being placed on modified duty in 2017 for an unrelated domestic incident. Before that though, she was an award-winning officer, including a “cop of the month” award from the Jamaica Rotary in June 2017.

So an officer with a history of domestic issues is simply moved to another division but never really disciplined. Thus, said officer believes she is untouchable, and jumps from domestic issues to murder-for-hire. Helluva police department you got there, New York.

A complaint filed against Cincinelli by federal prosecutors, she made a cash withdrawal on or about Feb. 18 of $7,000 from a bank to give to a cooperating source, identified as her current boyfriend, who would in turn give it to the hitman.

On or about May 8, Cincinelli told her boyfriend “to have the hitman kill Jan Doe over the weekend and then wait a week or a month to kill John Doe.”

So wait, I get the current boyfriend had no problem with Cincinelli murdering her ex-husband, but the boyfriend was equally fine with Cincinelli murdering his own daughter? Christ, this woman must be amazing in bed.

Normally, I get no pleasure out of seeing police officers go to prison, since it is usually a death sentence. In this case, I will make an exception.
