True Detective Stories

Since I am now effectively living behind enemy lines in occupied territory, I figured I would take a moment to describe what is happening in Philadelphia.

After the shooting of knife-wielding Walter Wallace, Jr. by police, residents in many sections of Philadelphia started rioting, looting, burning, and assaulting police officers Monday evening. The most egregious event was a truck plowed through a line of cops and struck a 56-year old female officer, shattering her femur. At that age, and considering her injuries, she will likely never return to work.

Tuesday night was grand. We had riots, lootings, burnings, and over thirty officers assaulted with bottles, rocks, and bricks. At one point, the mob descended on a neighborhood’s five-block long set of strip malls, and took most everything in every store. At one point, a supervisor stated his group “lost the block” and asked radio what were the upper echelon officers’ orders.

The supervisor was becoming agitated because he officers were being assaulted and no one from the command staff would tell him to retreat. Eventually, the supervisor went over the air and said, “Will you make a fucking decision?!!” Moments later, a Deputy Commissioner told the supervisor to “hold the line.”

The supervisor, who I worked with and know fairly well, replied, “We’re pulling back.” I’m surprised he didn’t tell the Deputy to f**k right off…

True Detective Stories

So the Philadelphia protests riots are continuing unabated, thanks to the city’s pro-Antifa mayor, district attorney, and police commissioner. The trio have given the appearance of supporting the rioters and looters over the police, business owners, and law-abiding citizens.

You see, the police are the real problem here, and the upper-echelon commanders have decided to treat patrol officers like children.

An order was put out by a commander – the one who ordered his officers to kneel before Black Lives Matter – which stated all supervisors will read the First Amendment to patrol officers before every tour.

Apparently the department believes no one has ever read the Constitution, or if they did, they weren’t smart enough to understand it. So it will be read, every tour of every day, until Antifa is through destroying Philadelphia.

Our betters are much smarter than we are, and they have nothing but good intentions.

A friend of mine who works in another city department forwarded this to me. It’s an email from Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney regarding the George Floyd riots. I believe it gives outsiders a view into the mayor’s (and the city’s) worldview.

Black communities across the country and right here at home are in pain. I recognize that years of trauma and violence, caused by a long history of institutional racism, have led to this moment. Know that I believe in the cause of the protesters, and I stand behind them 100 percent.

I appreciate the work you are doing during an incredibly challenging time on several fronts—a pandemic, the most difficult budget situation in recent history, and the shared grief we’re facing now.

Nearly half of our diverse workforce are Black Philadelphians; we know that they and many other members of our City government family are personally affected by what’s happening on our streets. Know this: I am thinking of you and fighting for you. Our administration will work hard to dismantle our broken system and rebuild one that works for all Philadelphians.

A symbol of that work happened today. Overnight, we removed the statue of Frank Rizzo from the front of the Municipal Services Building. The statue has understandably enraged and hurt many Philadelphians, including those protesting the heinous murders of George Floyd and too many others.

The removal is a small step. We now need to do the hard but critical work of engaging in dialogue and making real changes that forge a path that leads to true equity for all residents. I am committed to doing this work in the pursuit of racial and economic justice so that our communities can heal and all residents can prosper in our great city.

Unfortunately, the last few days have also resulted in devastation and destruction of many commercial corridors throughout the city, so many of which are also in communities of color. These businesses and communities will need rebuilding even as we work on the deeper issues that led us to this place.

Over the next days, weeks, and months I will be engaging in dialogue with community members to help address injustices and build a more equitable city. It’s up to us as public servants to represent our city and set an example for our neighbors—both in today’s uncertain times and in the future as we recover together.

We will get through this and make real change together.

Yours in service,

Wow, That’s Also A Riot!

The last four days in Philadelphia have been rife with violence, arson, and looting. Understandably, most business owners – whose businesses aren’t already destroyed – did their best to protect their property from the Philadelphia thugs.

Then a few of them tried to loot a store, just not exactly the store clear thinking individuals would consider robbing…

Philadelphia police said the owner of Firing Line Inc. was staying the night inside the shop on South Front Street because over the last few nights someone had tried breaking in.

The owner told police he was monitoring his surveillance camera and saw three or four men trying to get in around 4:15 a.m. The group was using bolt cutters on the gate. A broken lock could later be seen on the ground.

The group then smashed in the back door and broke glass, police said. When they made it upstairs the 67-year-old owner started shooting his Bushmaster M4 rifle, striking shot one man in the head.

That man – who was in his 20s – died in the store, police said. The other men ran off. Police found a handgun by the dead man that the owner said does not belong to his shop. Investigators believe the burglars brought that with them.

Here’s hoping the department tells the owner “Finders keepers,” and he’s able to sell the thug’s – likely stolen – gun at a later date. Might as well make some money off these jackasses’ idiocy.

Wow, That’s A Riot!

Yes, I know I said I was taking the rest of the day off, but this high-larious story was too hysterical not to share.

So late last night we started receiving multiple calls for vandalized ATMs. Usually the thugs pry the front of the machine and try to swipe the safe or at least some of the money inside. Last night, they were trying to open the ATMs with explosives.

A man died Tuesday morning after trying to blow up an ATM machine near Kensington, the Philadelphia Police said.

That’s a shame.

Around 6:15 a.m., police found a 24-year-old with trauma to his upper body. They said the man was “attempting to break into an ATM with explosives,” which were recovered at the scene. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Aww, and he was just turning his life around.

The Philadelphia bomb squad and the ATF could be seen investigating the scene, photographing and collecting evidence around the mangled, blown-out machine outside Sidekicks Sports Bar at 2207 N. 2nd Street. The ATM was a stand-alone machine on the sidewalk, not connected to a bank.

Looks like the Sidekick Sports ATM kicked this dude to the side.

To Die, To Sleep…

Sorry to have to do this, but I’m taking rest of the day off. It’s been three straight days of rioting, looting, burning, and assaulting in this awful, garbage town, and today is my first day off. I already went food shopping, and soon I’ll be taking a nice, long jog, then I plan on doing nothing at all.

Yep, today I am going to be a professional bum. It certainly works for Democrats.

Everything will be back to normal tomorrow, but today I am too exhausted and pissed off.

DISREGARD. I found a fabulous Darwin-esque riot post I’m releasing at 4pm. Trust me, it’s worth your time.

It’s Dead, Jim

The Philadelphia Police Department, after having no plan for three straight days of rioting, looting, and assaults on police, has finally lost all its credibility. While police officers and National Guard troops were protecting Police Headquarters – after it was surrounded by the mobs – a Deputy Police Commissioner ordered – ORDERED! – the officers and Guardsmen to take a knee in front of the rioters.

Don’t believe me? The video is below the fold.

The gall of this man! After seeing my fellow officers be ridiculed, attacked, and assaulted all weekend, this despicable slob orders his officers to kneel before their tormentors? And you actually complied with that order? What the f**k is wrong with you? A Deputy Commissioner cannot order you to kneel for anyone, let alone riotous criminals.

And for f**k’s sake, you Guardsmen knelt, too? He. Is. Not. Your. Commander.

Do you realize, “Deputy Commissioner,” how embarrassing this is for the rank and file? Do you realize, by this one action, you literally threw yourselves in with the Antifa anarchists? You forced these men and women to show fealty to people who want us dead. Whose side are you on?

Nevermind, you already revealed that answer.

This department is a f**king disgrace. The administration falls in line with the criminals at every single turn, while the cops in patrol get screwed over and over again. For a while I was optimistic about Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, but after this, she and her entire staff have lost me for good. This is a disgusting slap in the face to all of us who work so hard to keep criminals like Antifa at bay.

You can see the department kneeling before Zod below…

Philadelphia 1682-2020

Day Two of the 2020 Philadelphia Riots are in the books, and naturally, it’s more of the same. Police vehicles were burned, businesses were looted and vandalized, and officers were injured. The city was not remotely prepared for these attacks, as it took the mayor nearly two days to realize, “Hey, the Ben Franklin Bridge leads right to Center City. Maybe we should shut it down?”

Jim Kenney finally made the decision Sunday afternoon, days after the Soros’ thugs arrived in town.

Looting and violence spread in Philadelphia Sunday as the fallout of protests over the death of an unarmed black man at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis continued.

The funniest part of this is seeing Antifa claim “No justice, no peace,” days after the officer involved in George Lloyd’s death was arrested and charged with murder. Sorry jackasses, but everyone gets their day in court.

In West Philadelphia Sunday, people broke the windshields of various police vehicles, setting one alight near the intersection of Market and N. 52nd streets. Firefighters also responded to a building fire near 52nd and Walnut streets, the same area where stores are being looted.

Responding officers used tear gas and fired non-lethal ammunition to disperse some of the crowd.

Sadly, no one used lethal force. Let me tell you about Sunday night…

We’ve Got Riots!

Hat Tip: Sean Walsh, Philadelphia Inquirer

So last night was fun. Philadelphia, a second-class city, welcomed George Soros’ professional protesters to our town. Most of the city’s uniformed officers were sent to Center City with their riot gear, and endured a rather hellish evening. Two of my detectives were detailed down there as well to help process the multitude of arrests. Many officers were injured and a few police vehicles were destroyed.

The rioters were the usual suspects; some Philly residents looking to loot some free stuff, leftist white women who believe they’re part of Black Lives Matter, and thugs who just want to watch the world burn. They chanted, they vandalized, they threw things at police, and they even blew up a police vehicle

A Pennsylvania State police vehicle caught fire at the intersection of Broad and Vine Streets Saturday as tensions rose between demonstrators and police.

It didn’t “catch fire,” you leftist hack. It was burned by your riotous buddies.

I wonder why Soros’ protesters would set a Pennsylvania State Police cruiser on fire? Oh wait, maybe because Philadelphia’s jackass Mayor Jim “I’ll Have Another Drink” Kenney effectively gave the rioters carte blanche

A day before a planned demonstration outside City Hall over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Mayor Jim Kenney on Friday vowed that police will treat the protesters with respect, and said he was hopeful the city will avoid the destruction seen in some demonstrations elsewhere.

My sister was working at a downtown hospital while the carnage was going on, and a private ambulance driver told her, “They just wanna be heard because peaceful protests don’t work.” Hey jackass, the main cop responsible for George Floyd’s death was already arrested and charged with murder! What the f**K else do you want?

We’re being told the riots may continue for a few days, so work should be more exciting than usual. I hate this city and I really don’t like this job, but I’ll be brutally honest; I couldn’t care less if the residents or Soros’ thugs burn the entire city down.

Oh, by the way, if you’re a “brave protester,” remove your mask and be proud of what you’re doing. If you’re one of those protesters who covers your face, you are nothing more than a pussy. Own it.
