Philadelphia Is A Garbage City

Three people were killed and 13 others injured when gunfire broke out in Philadelphia early Sunday morning June 5, 2022. (WPVI)

For those of you old enough to remember, the Orlons, a Philadelphia band, put out a song called “South Street.” The song was celebrating the street, which back in the day, was the place everyone went on weekends to shop, eat, and have a good time.

Those days are gone forever.

A barrage of bullets from multiple shooters left three people dead and nearly a dozen more wounded after a mass shooting late Saturday night in the city of Philadelphia.

Some of Philadelphia’s finest citizens decided to randomly shoot into a crowd, proving once again black lives do not matter to other blacks.

The shooting happened near the intersection of South Street and Third Street. Several officers were on patrol when they heard numerous gunshots. At least two guns were recovered from the scene, and investigators said one of them had an extended magazine.

“Numerous” shell casings were found along the 200 and 300 blocks of South Street.

In all, 14 people were hit by gunfire. Of those victims, three people are dead and 11 more are wounded, according to police.

The good news is Soros-appointed D.A. Larry Krasner will likely give the shooters probation.

To give you an idea of Saturday night’s carnage, the Homicide Division responded, as did the Non-Fatal Shooting Teams, plus the Officer-Involved Shooting Team, since at least one officer returned fire.

Philadelphia Is A Garbage City

The city of Philadelphia – arguably the worst city in America – can place another feather in its cap, after one of the city’s thugs stole a vehicle… with a nuclear gauge inside. The vehicle was eventually recovered, but the gauge has not been found.

The search is on for a nuclear gauge containing sealed radioactive material after it disappeared from a vehicle stolen in Philadelphia, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

The gauge belonged to KAKS and Company, a Montgomery County-based construction site and soil testing business, and was not inside the stolen vehicle when the vehicle was found. It is not clear when or where the gauge and vehicle were stolen. A message left for Philadelphia police was not returned.

Of course the call was not returned, because the Philadelphia Police Department couldn’t care less.

“It is critical for anyone who has information about the lost nuclear gauge to contact local authorities or DEP,” DEP Bureau of Radiation Protection Director David Allard said. “As long as the device is not tampered with or damaged, it presents no hazard to public safety.”

I imagine the thug who stole this gauge is smashing it with a rock as we speak. Here’s hoping he thinks the green liquid is Mountain Dew and drinks it all.

Oh Yeah, It’s A Freakin’ Mystery

This may come as a surprise to all of you, but the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is suffering from a historic shortage of cops. Apparently, no one in their right mind wants to be a police officer. Can you imagine?

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro met with Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, along with area police chiefs, on Tuesday to discuss an ongoing problem: a historic shortage of police officers.

“The fact is, and we see this, fewer young people are deciding to make law enforcement their career,” Shapiro said. “That’s a problem. And it’s going to lead to long-term negative consequences in our communities.”

Hmm, I wonder why that is? Maybe it’s because Democrat politicians like Shapiro spent the Saint George Floyd riots telling anyone and everyone to defund the police. Maybe it’s because people like Danielle Outlaw spends her time trying to get cops fired and/or suspended. Maybe it’s because drunken Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney and Soros-appointed D.A. Larry Krasner are not allowing officers to do their job.

But hey, what do I know?

Anarchy In The PA

Remember way back to yesterday, when I wrote about the Driving Equality Policy. I mentioned how it will lead to anarchy and lawlessness. Never mind all that, because a vastly more important ordinance was just overruled by three Commonwealth judges.

The city has a long-standing ordinance stating if you lose your firearm, or if it is stolen, you must report it to the police. The reason for this is obvious. If someone’s firearm is out on the street, and someone uses it to shoot someone, the owner can at least plead his innocence. It’s also handy to know how many lost/stolen guns are on the street, considering we had 562 murders last year.

A Philadelphia ordinance that requires gun owners to tell police when a firearm has been lost or stolen was ruled illegal Monday by a state court, with one of the judges who voted to throw out the law lamenting that their ruling would put people’s lives at risk.

A three-judge Commonwealth Court panel ruled unanimously against the city law and issued a permanent injunction, saying the state Uniform Firearms Act preempts it. Philadelphia Police had sought a $2,000 fine against a man charged with violating the lost-and-stolen reporting mandate.

This is a devastating ruling. From here on out, we will have no idea how many lost or stolen guns are on the street. Similarly, we will not be able to track straw purchasers; those who buy a gun and pass it off to one of the random thugs. This will also make it more difficult to link a firearm with a shooter. In short, homicides are going to skyrocket.

One of the three Commonwealth Court jurists who ruled against the city ordinance on Monday, Senior Judge Bonnie Brigance Leadbetter, urged the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to reconsider that 1996 legal standard and to allow local restrictions “narrowly tailored to local necessities.”

“The overwhelming blight of gun violence occurring in the City of Philadelphia, of which I believe we can take judicial notice, and the policy issues argued by the city in the case before us, call for a recognition that local conditions may well justify more severe restrictions than are necessary statewide,” Leadbetter wrote.

She said it violates the fundamental right to life and liberty when children can’t walk on a street near their homes without the risk of being shot.

Normally, I am not a fan of judges, but Leadbetter makes good points. Overruling an ordinance like this in a Podunk little town wouldn’t be a problem. Overturning an ordinance like this in one of the most violent cities in America? It will result in piles and piles of dead bodies.

The Numbers Game

As you all know, I post Philadelphia’s homicide numbers on the blog every day. 2021 was a record year for Philadelphia, earning 562 murders; well more than any year in the city’s history.

While the 562 count is practically unbelievable, there is more to this story.

You see, the city has two categories for murders: homicides and suspicious deaths. Homicides are self-explanatory, but suspicious deaths are used for certain criteria. For example, if we find skeletal remains, it’s coded suspicious. Recently, the city has upped their game by claiming any murder where there are no witnesses is also considered suspicious.

Suspicious deaths are not recorded in the homicide category, so the murder numbers look better by comparison.

Yesterday, a homicide detective stopped by the division, so we asked him a few questions. First, there were 562 homicides in 2021. They apparently did not fudge the numbers like they did in 2020. However, the detective claimed there were 180 suspicious deaths in 2021, and as he said that, his eyes looked down, so that number is likely higher.

Let’s say the 180 number is correct. I’ll give the city the benefit of the doubt and say one-third of those were actual homicides. So we’re looking at 622 murders for 2021. We’ll never really know 2021’s actual murder count, but I guarantee we eclipsed 600.

The homicide detective thinks we’ll easily pass 562 this year. I wholeheartedly agree.

562, A New League Record!

The city of Philadelphia earned a new murder record after finishing 2021 with 562 homicides. The city earned three more homicides on New Year’s Eve, and I believe Philadelphia has the most murders per capita than any other city in America.

Suck on that, Chicago!

Of course, this garbage city couldn’t help themselves on the first day of the year, as we earned three more homicides in the first eight hours of 2022.

A deadly start to 2022 in Philadelphia. Two people are dead and three more are injured after a shooting early Saturday morning near Temple University’s campus in North Philadelphia.

Just hours into the New Year and Philadelphia has already recorded its first two homicides for the year. The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. just off of Temple’s campus at 17th and Cecil B. Moore Streets.

The city doesn’t update their murders on weekends – ironically, when most of the homicides occur – but my coworkers said we had at least three murders in the first eight hours of 2022. It’s going to be another violent year, and I can almost guarantee we’ll top 2021’s numbers.

You can lay the blame at the feet of Mayor Jim “I’ll Have Another Drink” Kenney, D.A. Larry Krasner, and Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw.

F**k This City. Burn It To The Ground

Philadelphia’s alcoholic mayor Jim Kenney has implemented a completely unconstitutional mandate which will treat the unvaccinated as second-class citizens. Beginning in 2022, the city’s restaurants and bars will not serve patrons who cannot prove their vaccinated status.

You all do realize this is never going away, right? The masks, the mandates, the lockdowns, the oppression. It’s here forever.

COVID-19 vaccination proof will be required to dine at Philadelphia bars and restaurants beginning in 2022, Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Cheryl Bettigole announced Monday morning. The vaccination mandate will go into effect beginning Jan. 3, 2022 in order to give establishments that serve food and beverages a chance to get ready.

“New cases and hospitalizations are rising in Philadelphia and nationally and with winter we must do more to protect our residents,” Mayor Jim Kenney said.

This piece of shite mayor has been photographed multiple times dining without a mask, and he thinks he is the moral authority here? F**k you.

City officials say they have to take this action because of an alarming increase in COVID-19 cases, which have doubled in the past few weeks along with hospitalizations.

You know why that is, because I do. It’s because the city’s African-American population is refusing to get the vaccine. I’m all for that, and I understand their concern. I wouldn’t have gotten the vaccine if I wasn’t forced by the city.

From Jan. 3 to 17, restaurants and bars may choose to accept proof of a negative COVID-19 for entry. The test must be from the last 24 hours before entering the establishment.

After the 17th, negative tests will no longer be accepted and all customers must be fully vaccinated in order to enter. This means they must have either a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Trust me when I tell you, this is going to collapse the dining industry in this city. Personally, I’m all for it, and I will never enter a restaurant or bar in this city ever again. I am vaccinated, but I will do my level best to ignore these eateries, while hoping they all lose their incomes.

You want to turn Philadelphia into Nazi Germany, have at it. I’m one mile from the suburbs, so if I really want to dine out, I’ll head to Bucks County.

The City Of Brotherly Shove

A Philadelphia man was abducted and robbed after he returned from a trip to the casino Sunday morning. I guess the only time you should ever gamble is when you eat at McDonald’s.

Philadelphia police say a man was abducted and tied up inside a basement after he arrived home from a Bensalem, Pennsylvania casino early Sunday morning.

The victim told police he noticed a U-Haul van parked in front of his residence on the 600 block of Adams Avenue in the city’s Crescentville section after he arrived home from Parx Casino around 1 a.m.

The irony here is the neighborhoods which sound really nice are usually war zones. Crescentville, Kensington, Nicetown, Overbrook; they’re all violent areas with shootings nearly every week.

It was not clear if he had been followed. After parking the car, the victim says he was approached by three masked men, at least two were armed. He told police they grabbed him as he made his way inside his home and threw him into the back of the van.

Police say the suspects took the man to an unknown location, tied him up in the basement and demanded information about the money hidden inside his home.

Well, I doubt they picked out a random home late Saturday night and hoped the resident had a great night playing the slots. The thugs obviously followed him home.

A Soros D.A. Doing Soros Things

For those of you lucky enough to not live in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Inquirer is a leftist fish-wrap which spends its day attacking conservatives while covering for incompetent Democrat politicians. Recently Soros-installed District Attorney Larry Krasner addressed the corrupt City Council about the skyrocketing violent crime rate.

Krasner lied about the statistics, and get this, the Inquirer covered for him.

On Oct. 13th, District Attorney Larry Krasner showed up at City Council to address a Special Committee on Gun Violence Prevention. With the city heading toward all-time highs in shootings and murders, Krasner was in a pickle because the police department had just laid out some devastating stats that showed what a horrible job Krasner was doing at prosecuting gun crimes. To make matters worse, those stats came directly from the D.A.’s own “Open Data Dashboard.”

The stats showed that the conviction rate in the D.A.’s office for prosecuting gun crimes had fallen from a high of 73% in 2015, when Seth Williams was D.A., all the way down to 35% so far this year under D.A. Krasner.

Meanwhile, the number of gun crime cases that were either withdrawn or dismissed by the D.A.’s office was headed the other way, going from 17% in 2015, when Seth Williams was D.A., all the way up to 61% this year under D.A. Krasner.

As of yesterday, the city earned its 454th homicide. On Wednesday, we had one shooting and multiple shooting incidents where someone fired a gun. I entered thirty-seven jobs, most of them were violent crimes. Every day I walk into the division is a day I want to quit. My division is extremely short-handed, the shootings are way up, and we cannot effectively work cases because the cops are bringing us bullshit – fraud reports, retail thefts, etc. – which clogs the system.

The department is never going back to the way it was, and most of the upper-echelon want us to quit, because that frees up more money for this awful city. Philadelphia is dead, murdered by corrupt Democrat politicians and a citizenry which doesn’t care.

Speaking Of Lawlessness…

While reading the comments in Saturday’s “Britain Has Lost Its Bloody Mind” post, RD mentioned a story about this despicable city and the despicable people who live here. A woman was raped on an elevated train Wednesday, and not one of the many witnesses intervened or even called 911. And people wonder why I want to leave this city.

A woman was raped Wednesday night on a Philadelphia train while bystanders nearby did nothing to help her, authorities said Friday.

Authorities arrested the suspect, 35-year-old Fiston Ngoy, at the 69th Street Transportation Center after a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) employee noticed the attack and called police, law enforcement officials said. Authorities believe Ngoy is homeless and did not know the victim.

I mentioned this on Saturday’s post, but it’s worth repeating; if Philadelphia is handling the job, this animal will likely get nothing more than probation. If Upper Darby (a Philly suburb) handles the job, this POS will get some serious jail time.

Timothy Bernhardt, Superintendent of the Upper Darby Police Department, reportedly said the rape was captured on security cameras and expressed shock that passengers on the train did not intervene or alert authorities.

“It’s disturbing that there were definitely people on the el and no one did anything to intervene or help this woman,” Bernhardt said. “The el” is a reference to Philadelphia’s elevated train line that runs between Upper Darby and the Frankford section of the city.

I’m truly embarrassed and ashamed of my fellow Philadelphians. The same people who claim they’re blue collar tough guys who don’t take any shite, are the same people who sat by and watched a woman get raped by a disgusting subhuman.
