The GOP Has Gone Underground

Apologies for two political posts in a row, but I thought both the previous and current posts are important. The GOP has apparently turned their backs on President Trump at the time he needs them the most. I cannot remember a president treated so poorly by his enemies… and his “allies.”

Where is McConnell? McCarthy? Barr? One of the most important Presidential elections in our nation’s history is being stolen right out from under us—and so-called Republican “leaders” are no where to be found.

Darren Beattie of Revolver News tweeted that he was informed by a White House official “Rick Scott and Marsha Blackburn are talking about Taiwan and Hong Kong… Little rand hasn’t tweeted anything. Lil’ Marco is counter signaling. McConnell has a blackout on this.” Even Lindsey Graham, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is silent. The only Republican senators who have spoken out about the election fraud are Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. The GOP largely appears to have abandoned the President..

Beatie isn’t wrong. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley have been pretty good, but the rest of the GOP has left the president hanging out to dry. Trump reinvigorated a dying political party, helped change the federal courts and the SCOTUS. He helped get many new GOP politicians into office, and wooed many new voters into the fold.

And what does he get for all that work? Silence.

Few people close to the President seem to care about the Democrat’s fraudulent activities. Amongst them are Rudy Giuliani, Eric Trump, and Jason Miller, who have led a strong anti-fraud movement on the ground in Philadelphia. Another good actor is Former Acting Director of U.S. National Intelligence Ric Grenell, who has been focusing on securing Nevada. In Arizona, a crucial state on Trump’s pathway to victory, the only directly Trump-related event is a press conference hosted by David Bossie, Jeff Dewit, Kelly Ward, and Debbie Lesko.

Republicans’ silence on the issue is deafening. It speaks volumes about their priorities and allegiances—and it will not be forgotten. Establishment types and never-Trumpers have proven themselves incapable of setting aside policy differences to fight for the integrity and preservation of our constitutional republic.

It should surprise no one the GOP can be described as “fair weather friends.” It should also surprise no one that they would turn tail the second the president hit a bumpy stretch. With few exceptions, every one of these politicians are out for themselves. None of them could give a damn about President Trump or the voters who put him (and them) into office.

I guess they figured three years of good governance and leadership was simply too taxing. The GOP we all know and hate will be back in January, and they’ll be as feckless as ever.

He Is The Rand Poobah

Senator Rand Paul destroyed former CIA chief John Brennan this week, after the latter called President Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin “treasonous.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) had harsh words for former CIA director John Brennan after Brennan accused President Donald Trump of treason after meeting with Vladimir Putin Monday.

“Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors.’ It was nothing short of treasonous,” Brennan tweeted. Senator Paul was asked about the comments Monday morning, and he didn’t hold back, broadsiding Brennan for being a “bigot” and voting for a communist for president.

“John Brennan started out his adulthood by voting for the communist party presidential candidate and showing himself to be the most bias, bigoted, hyperbolic unhinged director of the C.I.A. that we’ve ever had,” Paul stated.

“He called the president treasonous because he doesn’t like him,” Paul continued. “Brennan and [James Clapper] are known for wanting to expand the authority of the intelligence agencies to grab up everyone’s information including Americans and so I don’t have a lot of respect for these people before they decided to go on hating the president.”

Senator Paul can go a little off the rails from time to time, but he’s always solid when it comes to limited government and restraining power. If this specific case, Paul is absolutely correct; the nonsense spewed forth by Obama’s cronies and John McCain – but I repeat myself – are merely the cries of adult babies with full diapers.

Rand And Deliver

While I respect the man, I do have some misgivings about Senatyor Rand Paul; particularly his foreign policy opinions. That said, the man is a rock solid conservative who pulls no punches when he sees politicos behaving badly.

Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said the FBI crossed the line with its raid of President Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen, calling it a “great overstep” Tuesday on “America’s Newsroom.”

“The first question we ought to ask is what does this have to do with Russia,” Paul said. “I thought the special prosecutor was investigating Russian collusion. Going after someone’s personal attorney is a great overstep I think, in the authority of the prosecutor.”

“This is why I have opposed really having special prosecutors for almost anything,” Paul continued. “I think they abuse their authority. I think Mueller has abused his authority. They say. well he asked somebody else, another U.S. Attorney to do it. Yes but this is coming at the behest of Mueller.”

Is he wrong? Mueller and his team spent countless hours and even more money on this Russian collusion investigation, and they have nothing to show for it, save for a few process crimes. Mueller is now off his leash, and investigating anything and everything in the hopes of finding a shred of evidence to destroy the president. It’s enough. No law enforcement officer would ever have this much leeway, and neither should a special prosecutor.

McCain Struck By The Back Of His Rand

While I believe he is a very good senator, I differ with Rand Paul on many issues; particularly his protectionist nature. That said, I wholeheartedly agree with his takedown of aging fossil John McCain yesterday. It’s high time someone put that jackass in his place.

Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) ripped fellow Republican Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) Sunday after McCain criticized President Trump’s escalating war of words with the media.

“Everything that he says about the president is colored by his own personal dispute he’s got running with President Trump, and it should be taken with a grain of salt, because John McCain’s the guy who’s advocated for war everywhere,” Paul said.

John McCain is also the guy who stabs every true conservative in the back for the sake of media acceptance. I love you, Arizona, but really, can you do no better than this toad?

Paul said there has no effort by the Trump administration to suppress the media, noting that no legislation has been offered to curb press freedoms. Paul argued that McCain has a history of being wrong major foreign policy questions.

“I would say John McCain’s been wrong on just about everything over the last four decades. He advocated for the Iraq War, which I think destabilized the Middle East.”

Interesting how the media loved McCain in the 2008 primaries, then decided he was a douche during the general election. They hated him for eight years, but have now embraced him; conveniently after he started attacking Trump. McCain and Miss Lindsey need to retire to Statler and Waldorf’s balcony.
