Welcome To Taxadelphia

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has unveiled a plan to “recover” from the Chinese Wuhan virus and its subsequent destruction of an already failing economy. It may surprise you to know Kenney and his leftist City Council will embrace the tried-and-true policies of the Democratic Party.

Mayor Jim Kenney on Friday said his administration made “truly painful decisions” to propose tax hikes, layoffs, and service reductions and fill Philadelphia’s $649 million budget hole, but acknowledged the uphill climb he faces in winning support from City Council and the community.

Kenney was front row, center calling for the city to be shut down. He actively participated in closing businesses and threatened those who ignored his dictates. Now, an already poverty-stricken city is dealing with skyrocketing unemployment numbers, and this asshole thinks the solution is raising people’s taxes? This policy will force people to lose their homes; it will destroy people’s lives!

But the size of the city’s budget hole in 2009 was $108 million, Kenney noted. It is now facing a potential deficit five times as large.

Thanks exclusively to former Mayor Michael Nutter and Jim “I’ll Have Another Drink” Kenney. These assclowns ran up the deficit, and now Kenney is expecting to balance the budget on the backs of the citizens? Go f**k yourself!

Council President Darrell L. Clarke acknowledged that some tax increases may be necessary. Kenney’s $4.9 billion spending plan, which replaces a more ambitious $5.2 billion budget proposed in March, also includes increases in the parking tax and the wage tax for suburban commuters, and freezes in planned reductions to business taxes and the wage tax rate for residents.

Our taxes are already astronomical; most notably the property taxes, which are crippling. In 2016, this piece of garbage levied America’s first beverage tax on the city, claiming it would raise $91 million in revenue a year. Where did that money go, Jimmy?

Hundreds of city employees will lose their jobs, with some reductions occurring by June; more would follow in August. The city has more than 25,000 full-time employees.

With regards to the service reductions, our trash still gets picked up – and spilled onto the street – once a week, but recycling is now every two weeks. The city public pools will be closed this summer – a necessity in the poor neighborhoods in the summer – and many recreational programs will likely shut their doors. Hopefully, this won’t affect Julia’s dance classes, but I fear it will.

This is what happens when a city enjoys sixty-eight uninterrupted years of Democratic regimes.

Welcome To Screw York City

Socialist Communist Democratic New York City mayor Bill De Blasio announced a unique and innovative plan to fix the city’s ailing mass transit system: tax the rich!

De Blasio on Sunday unveiled an election-year pitch to raise $800 million a year for mass transit by soaking the rich with a nearly 14 percent tax increase on high-income Big Apple residents.

The proposed city income-tax hike would raise the rate for individuals making more than $500,000 and married couples earning over $1 million from 3.876 percent to 4.41 percent. About $250 million would be used to subsidize half-price MetroCards for about 800,000 New Yorkers living in poverty.

“The top 1 percent can afford to do a bit more — and should, because a transit system that works makes New York City’s economy strong and benefits us all.”

Yes, because straight up socialism has worked so well in, say, Venezuela. Why any wealthy person would continue living in New York City is completely beyond me.
