President Trump is snipping Obama’s transgender bathroom guidelines; thereby cutting federal involvement in school rest room decisions.
The Trump administration plans to revoke federal guidelines put out under former President Barack Obama allowing public school students to use restrooms and other facilities that correspond with their gender identity.
The source confirmed the Trump administration will issue new guidance, saying the Trump White House believes this is an issue better left to the states.
The decision, not yet announced, would be a reversal of an Obama-era directive issued in May requiring public schools to grant bathroom access even if the student’s chosen gender identity isn’t the same as what’s in the student’s record.
Someone made this point on a local talk show this morning, and I thought it was brilliant. If these people really believe they identify as the opposite sex, why use the term transgender at all? Why not just tell people you’re a man or a woman?
Personally, I identify as a meat popsicle. Accept me for who I am!
Even before the dust settled after Super Bowl LI, an NFL spokesman addressed the media and stated Texas’ pending bathroom law would place future NFL events in jeopardy.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded to the threat today in true Texas fashion.
Senate Bill 6 would require transgender people to use restrooms based on their “biological sex” in government buildings, schools and universities.
Oh my god, the horror!
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the NFL should govern football, not politics. He said that the NFL has its own share of problems, such as players committing acts of violence against women and not standing for the national anthem.
“The last thing the NFL needs to do is to get into the business of telling states how to operate their own political operations,” Abbott said. “The NFL has no business whatsoever trying to get into the politics of various states. The NFL has its own problems that it must fix.”
God bless Texas! You would think after this season’s plummeting ratings, the NFL would shut its collective pie holes.
The sooner the NFL learns they need us more than we need them, this garbage will cease immediately.
A Texas barbecue joint has become ground zero of a spicy controversy after the owner had the temerity to ask patrons to visit the bathroom which corresponds to their God-given pink parts.
John Sanford owns BBQ on the Brazos – located about 30 minutes or so southwest of the stockyards in Fort Worth. It’s the place to go for brisket in Cresson.
A few years back, a truck driver, who also worked as a rodeo cowboy, would show up to order a plate of barbecue. This particular cowboy was partial to wearing ladies garments. He was a cross-dresser. It really wasn’t that big of a deal until the cross-dressing truck driver and rodeo cowboy used the ladies room.
So they put a sign on the bathroom door clearly explaining bathroom etiquette at BBQ on the Brazos: “No men allowed in women’s bathroom please.”
The cross-dressing trucker told the staff that he felt uncomfortable using the men’s room – but agreed to comply with their wishes. (H/T – TXNick)
Wow, common sense rears its head in Texas. Could have knocked me over with a feather. Of course, the BBQ at the Brazos will be sued for discrimination, mental distress, and sexual harassment in 3… 2…
There are few groups in America which are afforded more rights and privileges than illegal immigrants. The people whose first action upon arriving here is violating U.S. law are more protected and more catered to than lifelong citizens.
Exemption from deportation, driver’s license and various other free sh*t is no longer enough. Now the want to be exempt from searches.
Illegal immigrant women being detained at a California jail say they are being “humiliated” by strip-searches, particularly in cases involving transgender detainees, and have filed a complaint demanding federal officials put a stop to it.
You know what else is humiliating? Explaining the murder of a prison guard by a transvestite who had a weapon taped between his/her butt cheeks.
The complaint, sent Monday to the Santa Ana City Jail and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which contracts with the jail to hold illegal immigrants, is the latest step in an escalating push by immigrant rights advocates to try to end the detention of women and children in the country illegally and, in the meantime, to alleviate conditions at the facilities.
Did I sleep through the “rights of illegal immigrants” portion of Poli-Sci?
Why yes, let’s let the illegals roam free. What’s the worst that could happen? (Kate Steinle unavailable for comment.) This “women and children” nonsense is exactly that; nonsense. This ain’t the Titanic, brah, and women and children have committed atrocious crimes. Releasing them into the wild will only lead to disaster.
